19:1 ทูตสวรรค์สององค์มาถึงเมืองโสโดมในเวลาเย็น โลทได้นั่งอยู่ที่ประตูเมืองโสโดม เมื่อโลทเห็นแล้วก็ลุกขึ้นไปพบทูตเหล่านั้นและได้ก้มหน้าของเขาลงถึงดิน
19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
19:2 แล้วเขากล่าวว่า "ดูเถิด เจ้านายของข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าขอวิงวอนท่านโปรดกรุณาแวะไปบ้านผู้รับใช้ของท่าน ค้างแรมคืนนี้ ล้างเท้าของท่าน แล้วท่านจะได้ตื่นแต่เช้าเดินทางต่อไป" ทูตเหล่านั้นกล่าวว่า "อย่าเลย แต่พวกเราจะค้างแรมที่ถนนในคืนนี้"
19:2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
19:3 เขาได้รบเร้าทูตเหล่านั้นอย่างมาก ทูตเหล่านั้นจึงแวะเข้าไปในบ้านของเขา และเขาจึงจัดการเลี้ยงทูตเหล่านั้น ทำขนมปังไร้เชื้อและทูตเหล่านั้นจึงรับประทาน
19:3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
19:4 แต่ก่อนที่ทูตเหล่านั้นเข้านอน พวกผู้ชายเมืองนั้นคือพวกผู้ชายชาวเมืองโสโดม ทั้งแก่และหนุ่ม ทุกคนจากทุกสารทิศ มาล้อมเรือนนั้นไว้
19:4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
19:5 พวกเขาเรียกโลทและพูดกับเขาว่า "ผู้ชายเหล่านั้นซึ่งมาหาท่านคืนนี้อยู่ที่ไหน จงนำเขาเหล่านั้นออกมาให้พวกเราเพื่อพวกเราจะได้สมสู่กับเขา"
19:5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
19:6 โลทก็ออกทางประตูไปหาพวกนั้นและปิดประตูหลังจากที่เขาออกไปแล้ว
19:6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
19:7 และกล่าวว่า "พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าขอวิงวอนท่าน อย่ากระทำชั่วช้าเช่นนี้เลย
19:7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
19:8 ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้ามีบุตรสาวสองคนซึ่งไม่เคยสมสู่กับชายเลย ข้าพเจ้าขอวิงวอนท่าน ขอให้ข้าพเจ้านำพวกเธอออกมาให้ท่าน ให้ท่านกระทำแก่พวกเธอตามที่เห็นชอบในสายตาของท่านเถิด เพียงแต่อย่ากระทำอะไรแก่ชายเหล่านี้เลย เพราะเหตุว่าพวกเขาเหล่านี้เข้ามาอยู่ใต้ร่มชายคาของข้าพเจ้า"
19:8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
19:9 พวกเขาพูดว่า "ถอยไป" และพวกเขาพูดอีกว่า "คนนี้เข้ามาอาศัยอยู่และเขาจะมาตั้งตัวเป็นผู้พิพากษา บัดนี้เราจะทำการชั่วร้ายกับท่านยิ่งกว่าคนเหล่านั้น" พวกเขาจึงผลักคนนั้นโดยแรงคือโลทนั่นเอง และเข้ามาใกล้เพื่อพังประตู
19:9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
19:10 แต่ทูตเหล่านั้นจึงยื่นมือออกไปดึงโลทเข้ามาในบ้านและปิดประตู
19:10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
19:11 ทูตเหล่านั้นทำให้พวกผู้ชายที่อยู่ประตูบ้านนั้นตาบอดผู้ใหญ่ผู้น้อย ดังนั้นพวกเขาจึงหาประตูจนเหนื่อย
19:11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
19:12 ทูตเหล่านั้นจึงพูดกับโลทว่า "ที่นี่มีใครอีกไหม จงพาบุตรเขย บุตรชาย บุตรสาว และสิ่งใดๆของเจ้าที่อยู่ในเมืองนี้ออกจากที่นี่
19:12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
19:13 เพราะพวกเราจะทำลายสถานที่แห่งนี้เพราะว่าเสียงร้องของพวกเขาดังมากยิ่งขึ้นต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ และพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงส่งพวกเรามาทำลายมันเสีย"
19:13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
19:14 โลทจึงออกไปพูดกับบุตรเขยของเขาซึ่งได้แต่งงานกับบุตรสาวของเขาว่า "ลุกขึ้น เจ้าจงออกไปจากสถานที่นี้ เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงทำลายเมืองนี้" แต่บุตรเขยของเขากลับดูเหมือนว่าเขาพูดล้อเล่น
19:14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
19:15 เมื่อรุ่งเช้าทูตสวรรค์เหล่านั้นจึงเร่งเร้าโลทว่า "จงลุกขึ้น พาภรรยาของเจ้า และบุตรสาวทั้งสองของเจ้า ซึ่งอยู่ที่นี่ไปเสีย เกรงว่าพวกเจ้าจะถูกทำลายพร้อมกับความชั่วช้าของเมืองนี้"
19:15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
19:16 ขณะที่เขายังรีรออยู่ ทูตเหล่านั้นจึงคว้าจับมือเขา มือภรรยาของเขาและมือบุตรสาวทั้งสองของเขา พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงมีความเมตตาต่อเขา ทูตเหล่านั้นจึงนำเขาออกมาและให้เขาอยู่ที่นอกเมือง
19:16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
19:17 ต่อมาเมื่อทูตเหล่านั้นนำพวกเขาออกมาภายนอกแล้ว ทูตพูดว่า "จงหนีเอาชีวิตรอด อย่าได้เหลียวหลังมาดูหรือพักอยู่ที่ราบลุ่มทั้งหลาย จงหนีไปที่ภูเขาเกรงว่าเจ้าจะถูกทำลาย"
19:17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
19:18 โลทจึงกล่าวแก่ทูตเหล่านั้นว่า "โอ เจ้านายของข้าพเจ้า อย่าให้เป็นอย่างนั้นเลย
19:18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my LORD:
19:19 ดูเถิด ผู้รับใช้ของท่านได้รับพระกรุณาในสายตาของท่านและท่านมีความเมตตาอย่างยิ่ง ซึ่งท่านได้สำแดงต่อข้าพเจ้าในการช่วยชีวิตข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าไม่สามารถหนีไปยังภูเขาได้ เกรงว่าสิ่งชั่วร้ายจะมาถึงตัวข้าพเจ้าและข้าพเจ้าจะตายเสีย
19:19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
19:20 ดูเถิด กรุณาเถิด เมืองนี้อยู่ใกล้ที่จะหนีไปถึงได้และเป็นเมืองเล็ก โอ โปรดให้ข้าพเจ้าหนีไปที่นั่น (เป็นเมืองเล็กๆมิใช่หรือ) และชีวิตของข้าพเจ้าจะรอด"
19:20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
19:21 ทูตกล่าวแก่เขาว่า "ดูเถิด เรายอมรับเจ้าเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้ด้วยว่าเราจะไม่ทำลายล้างเมืองนี้ซึ่งเจ้าได้กล่าวถึง
19:21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
19:22 เจ้าจงรีบหนีไปที่นั่น เพราะเราไม่สามารถกระทำอะไรได้จนกว่าเจ้าไปถึงที่นั่น" เหตุฉะนั้นจึงเรียกชื่อเมืองนั้นว่าโศอาร์
19:22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
19:23 เมื่อโลทเข้าไปยังเมืองโศอาร์ ตะวันก็ขึ้นมาเหนือแผ่นดินโลกแล้ว
19:23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
19:24 ดังนั้นพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงให้กำมะถันและไฟจากพระเยโฮวาห์ตกมาจากฟ้าสวรรค์ลงมาบนเมืองโสโดมและเมืองโกโมราห์
19:24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
19:25 พระองค์ทรงทำลายล้างเมืองทั้งหลายเหล่านั้น บรรดาที่ราบลุ่ม ชาวเมืองทั้งปวงและสิ่งที่งอกขึ้นมาบนแผ่นดิน
19:25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
19:26 แต่ภรรยาของเขาผู้ตามข้างหลังเขาเหลียวกลับไปมองดูและนางจึงกลายเป็นเสาเกลือ
19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
19:27 อับราฮัมลุกขึ้นตั้งแต่เช้าตรู่ไปยังสถานที่ที่ท่านเคยยืนต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์
19:27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:
19:28 ท่านมองไปทางเมืองโสโดม เมืองโกโมราห์และดินแดนที่ราบลุ่มทั้งหลาย และดูเถิด ก็เห็นควันจากแผ่นดินนั้นพลุ่งขึ้นเหมือนควันจากเตาไฟใหญ่
19:28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
19:29 ต่อมาเมื่อพระเจ้าทรงทำลายเมืองทั้งหลายในที่ราบลุ่มแล้วนั้น พระเจ้าทรงระลึกถึงอับราฮัม และส่งโลทออกไปจากท่ามกลางการทำลายล้าง เมื่อพระองค์ทรงทำลายล้างเมืองทั้งหลายซึ่งโลทอาศัยอยู่
19:29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
19:30 โลทขึ้นไปจากเมืองโศอาร์ไปอาศัยอยู่บนภูเขาพร้อมกับบุตรสาวสองคนของเขา เพราะเขากลัวที่อาศัยในเมืองโศอาร์ เขาจึงไปอาศัยอยู่ในถ้ำทั้งเขากับบุตรสาวสองคนของเขา
19:30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
19:31 บุตรสาวหัวปีพูดกับน้องสาวว่า "บิดาของเราแก่แล้วและไม่มีชายใดในแผ่นดินโลกเข้ามาหาพวกเราตามธรรมเนียมของทั่วโลก
19:31 And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
19:32 มาเถิด พวกเราจงให้บิดาของพวกเราดื่มเหล้าองุ่น และพวกเราจะนอนกับท่าน เพื่อพวกเราจะสงวนเชื้อสายของบิดาพวกเรา"
19:32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
19:33 ในคืนวันนั้นพวกเธอจึงให้บิดาของพวกเธอดื่มเหล้าองุ่น บุตรสาวหัวปีเข้าไปนอนกับบิดาของเธอ และเขาไม่สังเกตว่าเธอมานอนด้วยเมื่อไรและเธอลุกขึ้นไปเมื่อไร
19:33 And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
19:34 ต่อมาวันรุ่งขึ้นบุตรสาวหัวปีพูดกับน้องสาวว่า "ดูเถิด เมื่อคืนนี้เราได้นอนกับบิดาของเรา พวกเราจงให้ท่านดื่มเหล้าองุ่นในคืนนี้อีก และเจ้าจงเข้าไปนอนกับท่านเพื่อพวกเราจะสงวนเชื้อสายของบิดาพวกเรา"
19:34 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
19:35 พวกเธอจึงให้บิดาของพวกเธอดื่มเหล้าองุ่นในคืนวันนั้นด้วย น้องสาวก็ลุกขึ้นไปนอนกับเขา และเขาไม่สังเกตว่าเธอมานอนด้วยเมื่อไรและเธอลุกขึ้นไปเมื่อไร
19:35 And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
19:36 ดังนั้น บุตรสาวทั้งสองของโลทก็ตั้งครรภ์กับบิดาของพวกเธอ
19:36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.
19:37 บุตรสาวหัวปีคลอดบุตรชายคนหนึ่งและเรียกชื่อของเขาว่า โมอับ เขาเป็นบรรพบุรุษของคนโมอับมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้
19:37 And the first born bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.
19:38 ส่วนน้องสาว เธอคลอดบุตรชายคนหนึ่งด้วยและเรียกชื่อของเขาว่า เบน-อัมมี เขาเป็นบรรพบุรุษของคนอัมโมนมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้
19:38 And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
