18:1 และอยู่ต่อมาดาวิดทรงโจมตีคนฟีลิสเตียและทรงปราบปรามเขาเสีย ทรงยึดเมืองกัทและชนบทของเมืองนั้นจากมือคนฟีลิสเตีย
18:1 Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
18:2 และพระองค์ทรงโจมตีโมอับ และคนโมอับก็เป็นผู้รับใช้ของดาวิดและนำบรรณาการมาถวาย
18:2 And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.
18:3 ดาวิดทรงโจมตีฮาดัดเอเซอร์กษัตริย์ของเมืองโศบาห์ด้วยตรงไปยังเมืองฮามัท ขณะเมื่อพระองค์เสด็จไปตั้งอำนาจการปกครองของพระองค์ที่แม่น้ำยูเฟรติส
18:3 And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
18:4 และดาวิดทรงยึดรถรบจากท่านมาหนึ่งพันคัน พลม้าเจ็ดพัน และทหารราบสองหมื่น และดาวิดทรงตัดเอ็นโคนขาม้ารถรบเสียสิ้น แต่ทรงเหลือไว้ให้พอแก่รถรบหนึ่งร้อยคัน
18:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
18:5 และเมื่อคนซีเรียแห่งเมืองดามัสกัสมาช่วยฮาดัดเอเซอร์กษัตริย์แห่งเมืองโศบาห์ ดาวิดทรงประหารคนซีเรียเสียสองหมื่นสองพันคน
18:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
18:6 แล้วดาวิดทรงตั้งทหารประจำป้อมในซีเรียแห่งเมืองดามัสกัส และคนซีเรียเป็นผู้รับใช้ของดาวิด และนำบรรณาการมาถวาย ดาวิดเสด็จไป ณ ที่ใด พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงประทานชัยชนะแก่พระองค์ที่นั่น
18:6 Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
18:7 ดาวิดทรงยึดโล่ทองคำที่ผู้รับใช้ของฮาดัดเอเซอร์ถือ และทรงนำมาที่เยรูซาเล็ม
18:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
18:8 ดาวิดทรงยึดทองสัมฤทธิ์เป็นอันมากจากเมืองทิบหาทและจากเมืองคูน หัวเมืองของฮาดัดเอเซอร์ ซึ่งซาโลมอนทรงใช้สร้างขันสาครทองสัมฤทธิ์และเสา และเครื่องใช้ทองสัมฤทธิ์
18:8 Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
18:9 เมื่อโทอูกษัตริย์แห่งเมืองฮามัทได้ยินว่าดาวิดทรงโจมตีกองทัพทั้งสิ้นของฮาดัดเอเซอร์กษัตริย์แห่งเมืองโศบาห์แล้ว
18:9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;
18:10 พระองค์ทรงใช้ฮาโดรัมโอรสของพระองค์ไปเฝ้ากษัตริย์ดาวิดเพื่อรับเสด็จ และถวายพระพรที่พระองค์ทรงรบกับฮาดัดเอเซอร์และทรงชนะ (เพราะว่าฮาดัดเอเซอร์ได้สู้รบกับโทอูบ่อยๆ) และพระองค์ได้ส่งของทุกอย่างที่ทำด้วยทองคำ ด้วยเงิน และด้วยทองสัมฤทธิ์มาถวาย
18:10 He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
18:11 และกษัตริย์ดาวิดทูลถวายสิ่งเหล่านี้แด่พระเยโฮวาห์ พร้อมกับเงินและทองคำซึ่งพระองค์ทรงนำมาจากประชาชาติทั้งปวง จากเอโดม โมอับ คนอัมโมน คนฟีลิสเตีย และอามาเลข
18:11 Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
18:12 และอาบีชัยบุตรชายนางเศรุยาห์ได้ประหารคนเอโดมหนึ่งหมื่นแปดพันคนเสียในหุบเขาเกลือ
18:12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.
18:13 และท่านตั้งทหารประจำป้อมในเอโดม และคนเอโดมทั้งสิ้นได้เป็นคนรับใช้ของดาวิด และพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงประทานชัยชนะแก่ดาวิดไม่ว่าพระองค์เสด็จไป ณ ที่ใดๆ
18:13 And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
18:14 ดาวิดจึงทรงครอบครองเหนืออิสราเอลทั้งสิ้น และพระองค์ทรงให้ความยุติธรรมและความเที่ยงธรรมแก่ประชาชนของพระองค์ทั้งสิ้น
18:14 So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.
18:15 และโยอาบบุตรชายนางเศรุยาห์เป็นผู้บัญชาการกองทัพ และเยโฮชาฟัทบุตรชายอาหิลูดเป็นเจ้ากรมสารบรรณ
18:15 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.
18:16 และศาโดกบุตรชายอาหิทูบและอาบีเมเลคบุตรชายอาบียาธาร์เป็นปุโรหิต และชาวะชาเป็นราชเลขา
18:16 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
18:17 และเบไนยาห์บุตรชายเยโฮยาดาอยู่เหนือคนเคเรธีและคนเปเลธ และบรรดาโอรสของดาวิดก็เป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ชั้นหัวหน้าในราชการของกษัตริย์
18:17 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
