5:1 ผู้ใดเชื่อว่าพระเยซูทรงเป็นพระคริสต์ ผู้นั้นก็บังเกิดจากพระเจ้า และทุกคนที่รักพระองค์ผู้ทรงให้กำเนิดนั้นก็รักคนที่บังเกิดจากพระองค์ด้วย
5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
5:2 เมื่อเราทั้งหลายรักพระเจ้าและได้รักษาพระบัญญัติของพระองค์ เราจึงรู้ว่าเรารักคนทั้งหลายที่เป็นบุตรของพระเจ้า
5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
5:3 เพราะนี่แหละเป็นความรักต่อพระเจ้า คือที่เราทั้งหลายรักษาพระบัญญัติของพระองค์ และพระบัญญัติของพระองค์นั้นไม่เป็นที่หนักใจ
5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
5:4 ด้วยว่าผู้ใดที่บังเกิดจากพระเจ้า ก็มีชัยชนะต่อโลก และนี่แหละเป็นชัยชนะซึ่งได้มีชัยต่อโลก คือความเชื่อของเราทั้งหลายนี่เอง
5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5:5 ใครเล่าชนะโลก เว้นไว้แต่ผู้ที่เชื่อว่าพระเยซูทรงเป็นพระบุตรของพระเจ้า
5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
5:6 นี่แหละคือผู้ที่ได้เสด็จมาด้วยน้ำและพระโลหิต คือพระเยซูคริสต์ ไม่ใช่ด้วยน้ำอย่างเดียว แต่ด้วยน้ำและพระโลหิต และพระวิญญาณทรงเป็นพยานเพราะพระวิญญาณทรงเป็นความจริง
5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
5:7 เพราะมีพยานอยู่สามพยานในสวรรค์ คือพระบิดา พระวาทะ และพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ และพยานทั้งสามนี้เป็นองค์เดียวกัน
5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
5:8 มีพยานอยู่สามพยานในแผ่นดินโลก คือพระวิญญาณ น้ำ และพระโลหิต และพยานทั้งสามนี้สอดคล้องกัน
5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
5:9 ถ้าเรายังรับพยานหลักฐานของมนุษย์ พยานหลักฐานของพระเจ้าก็ยิ่งใหญ่กว่า เพราะนี่คือพยานหลักฐานของพระเจ้าซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงเป็นพยานถึงพระบุตรของพระองค์
5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
5:10 ผู้ที่เชื่อในพระบุตรของพระเจ้าก็มีพยานอยู่ในตัวเอง ผู้ที่ไม่เชื่อพระเจ้าก็ได้กระทำให้พระองค์เป็นผู้ตรัสมุสา เพราะเขามิได้เชื่อพยานหลักฐานที่พระเจ้าได้ทรงเป็นพยานถึงพระบุตรของพระองค์
5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
5:11 และพยานหลักฐานนั้นก็คือว่า พระเจ้าได้ทรงโปรดประทานชีวิตนิรันดร์แก่เราทั้งหลาย และชีวิตนี้มีอยู่ในพระบุตรของพระองค์
5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
5:12 ผู้ที่มีพระบุตรก็มีชีวิต ผู้ที่ไม่มีพระบุตรของพระเจ้าก็ไม่มีชีวิต
5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
5:13 ข้อความเหล่านี้ข้าพเจ้าได้เขียนมาถึงท่านทั้งหลายที่เชื่อในพระนามของพระบุตรของพระเจ้า เพื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะได้รู้ว่าท่านมีชีวิตนิรันดร์ และเพื่อท่านจะได้เชื่อในพระนามของพระบุตรของพระเจ้า
5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
5:14 และนี่คือความมั่นใจที่เรามีต่อพระองค์ คือถ้าเราทูลขอสิ่งใดตามพระประสงค์ของพระองค์ พระองค์ก็ทรงโปรดฟังเรา
5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
5:15 และถ้าเรารู้ว่า พระองค์ทรงโปรดฟังเรา เมื่อเราทูลขอสิ่งใดๆ เราก็รู้ว่าเราได้รับตามที่เราทูลขอจากพระองค์นั้น
5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
5:16 ถ้าผู้ใดเห็นพี่น้องของตนกระทำบาปอย่างหนึ่งอย่างใดที่ไม่นำไปสู่ความตาย ผู้นั้นจงทูลขอ และพระองค์ก็จะทรงประทานชีวิตแก่ผู้นั้นที่ได้กระทำบาปซึ่งไม่ได้นำไปสู่ความตาย บาปที่นำไปสู่ความตายก็มี ข้าพเจ้ามิได้ว่าให้เขาอธิษฐานสำหรับบาปอย่างนั้น
5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
5:17 การอธรรมทุกอย่างเป็นบาป แต่บาปที่ไม่ได้นำไปสู่ความตายก็มี
5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
5:18 เราทั้งหลายรู้ว่า คนใดที่บังเกิดจากพระเจ้าก็ไม่กระทำบาป แต่ว่าคนที่บังเกิดจากพระเจ้าก็ระวังรักษาตัว และมารร้ายนั้นไม่แตะต้องเขาเลย
5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
5:19 เราทั้งหลายรู้ว่าเราเป็นของพระเจ้า และชาวโลกทั้งสิ้นตกอยู่ใต้อำนาจของความชั่ว
5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
5:20 และเราทั้งหลายรู้ว่าพระบุตรของพระเจ้าเสด็จมาแล้ว และได้ทรงประทานความเข้าใจแก่เรา เพื่อให้เรารู้จักพระองค์ผู้เที่ยงแท้ และเราทั้งหลายอยู่ในพระองค์ผู้เที่ยงแท้นั้น คืออยู่ในพระเยซูคริสต์พระบุตรของพระองค์ นี่แหละเป็นพระเจ้าเที่ยงแท้ และเป็นชีวิตนิรันดร์
5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
5:21 ลูกเล็กๆทั้งหลายเอ๋ย จงระวังรักษาตัวไว้ให้พ้นจากรูปเคารพ เอเมน
5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
