3:1 ถ้าท่านรับการทรงชุบให้เป็นขึ้นมาด้วยกันกับพระคริสต์แล้ว ก็จงแสวงหาสิ่งซึ่งอยู่เบื้องบนในที่ซึ่งพระคริสต์ทรงประทับข้างขวาพระหัตถ์ของพระเจ้า
3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
3:2 จงฝังความคิดของท่านไว้กับสิ่งทั้งหลายที่อยู่เบื้องบน ไม่ใช่กับสิ่งทั้งหลายซึ่งอยู่ที่แผ่นดินโลก
3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3:3 เพราะว่าท่านได้ตายแล้วและชีวิตของท่านซ่อนไว้กับพระคริสต์ในพระเจ้า
3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
3:4 เมื่อพระคริสต์ผู้ทรงเป็นชีวิตของเราจะทรงปรากฏ ขณะนั้นท่านก็จะปรากฏพร้อมกับพระองค์ในสง่าราศีด้วย
3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
3:5 เหตุฉะนั้นจงประหารอวัยวะของท่านซึ่งอยู่ฝ่ายโลกนี้ คือการล่วงประเวณี การโสโครก ราคะตัณหา ความปรารถนาชั่ว และความโลภ ซึ่งเป็นการนับถือรูปเคารพ
3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
3:6 เพราะสิ่งเหล่านี้ พระอาชญาของพระเจ้าก็ลงมาแก่บุตรแห่งการไม่เชื่อฟัง
3:6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
3:7 ครั้งหนึ่งท่านเคยดำเนินตามสิ่งเหล่านี้ด้วย ครั้งเมื่อท่านยังดำรงชีวิตอยู่กับสิ่งเหล่านี้
3:7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
3:8 แต่บัดนี้สารพัดสิ่งเหล่านี้ท่านจงเปลื้องทิ้งเสียด้วย คือความโกรธ ความขัดเคือง การคิดปองร้าย การหมิ่นประมาท คำพูดหยาบโลนจากปากของท่าน
3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
3:9 อย่าพูดมุสาต่อกันเพราะว่าท่านได้ถอดทิ้งมนุษย์เก่ากับการปฏิบัติของมนุษย์นั้นเสียแล้ว
3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
3:10 และได้สวมมนุษย์ใหม่ที่กำลังทรงสร้างขึ้นใหม่ในความรู้ตามแบบพระฉายของพระองค์ผู้ได้ทรงสร้างขึ้นนั้น
3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
3:11 อย่างนี้ไม่เป็นพวกกรีกหรือพวกยิว ไม่เป็นผู้ที่เข้าสุหนัตหรือไม่ได้เข้าสุหนัต พวกคนต่างชาติหรือชาวสิเธีย ทาสหรือไทยก็ไม่เป็น แต่ว่าพระคริสต์ทรงเป็นสารพัดและทรงดำรงอยู่ในสารพัด
3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
3:12 เหตุฉะนั้นในฐานะที่เป็นพวกซึ่งพระเจ้าทรงเลือกไว้ เป็นพวกที่บริสุทธิ์และเป็นพวกที่ทรงรัก จงสวมใจเมตตา ใจปรานี ใจถ่อม ใจอ่อนสุภาพ ใจอดทนไว้นาน
3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
3:13 จงผ่อนหนักผ่อนเบาซึ่งกันและกัน และถ้าแม้ว่าผู้ใดมีเรื่องราวต่อกันก็จงยกโทษให้กันและกัน พระคริสต์ได้ทรงโปรดยกโทษให้ท่านฉันใด ท่านจงกระทำอย่างนั้นเหมือนกัน
3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
3:14 แล้วจงสวมความรักทับสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมด เพราะความรักย่อมผูกพันทุกสิ่งไว้ให้ถึงซึ่งความสมบูรณ์
3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
3:15 และจงให้สันติสุขแห่งพระเจ้าครอบครองอยู่ในใจของท่านทั้งหลาย ในสันติสุขนั้นทรงเรียกท่านทั้งหลายไว้ให้เป็นกายอันเดียวด้วย และท่านทั้งหลายจงขอบพระคุณ
3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
3:16 จงให้พระวาทะของพระคริสต์ดำรงอยู่ในตัวท่านอย่างบริบูรณ์ด้วยปัญญาทั้งสิ้น จงสั่งสอนและเตือนสติกันด้วยเพลงสดุดี เพลงสรรเสริญและเพลงฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณด้วย จงร้องเพลงด้วยพระคุณจากใจของท่านถวายองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
3:17 และเมื่อท่านจะกระทำสิ่งใดด้วยวาจาหรือด้วยการประพฤติก็ตาม จงกระทำทุกสิ่งในพระนามของพระเยซูเจ้าและขอบพระคุณพระเจ้าพระบิดาโดยพระองค์นั้น
3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
3:18 ฝ่ายภรรยาจงยอมฟังสามีของตน ซึ่งเป็นการสมควรในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
3:19 ฝ่ายสามีก็จงรักภรรยาของตนและอย่ามีใจขมขื่นต่อนาง
3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
3:20 ฝ่ายบุตรทั้งหลายจงเชื่อฟังบิดามารดาของตนทุกอย่าง เพราะการนี้เป็นที่ชอบพระทัยขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
3:21 ฝ่ายบิดาก็อย่ายั่วบุตรของตนให้ขัดเคืองใจ เกรงว่าเขาจะท้อใจ
3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
3:22 ฝ่ายพวกทาสจงเชื่อฟังผู้ที่เป็นนายของตนตามเนื้อหนังทุกอย่าง ไม่ใช่ตามอย่างคนที่ทำแต่ต่อหน้า อย่างคนประจบสอพลอ แต่ทำด้วยน้ำใสใจจริงด้วยความเกรงกลัวพระเจ้า
3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;
3:23 ไม่ว่าท่านจะทำสิ่งใดก็จงทำด้วยความเต็มใจ เหมือนกระทำถวายองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ไม่ใช่เหมือนกระทำแก่มนุษย์
3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
3:24 ด้วยรู้แล้วว่าท่านจะได้รับมรดกจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเป็นบำเหน็จเพราะท่านปรนนิบัติพระคริสต์เจ้าอยู่
3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
3:25 ส่วนผู้ที่ทำความผิดก็จะได้รับผลตามความผิดที่เขาได้ทำนั้นและไม่มีการทรงเห็นแก่หน้าผู้ใดเลย
3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
