18:1 "คนเลวีซึ่งเป็นปุโรหิตและตระกูลเลวีทั้งหมด จะไม่มีส่วนแบ่งหรือมรดกร่วมกับคนอิสราเอล เขาจะรับประทานเครื่องบูชาที่ถวายด้วยไฟแด่พระเยโฮวาห์และส่วนที่ตกเป็นของพระองค์
18:1 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.
18:2 ฉะนั้นเขาจะไม่มีมรดกในหมู่พวกพี่น้องของเขา พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเป็นมรดกของเขา ตามที่พระองค์ทรงสัญญาไว้แก่เขาแล้วนั้น
18:2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
18:3 ให้ส่วนต่อไปนี้เป็นส่วนที่ปุโรหิตได้อันตกจากประชาชน คือส่วนที่ได้จากผู้ที่ถวายสัตวบูชา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นวัวผู้หรือแกะ ก็ให้เขามอบเนื้อสันขาหน้า เนื้อแก้มทั้งสองข้าง และเนื้อท้องให้แก่ปุโรหิต
18:3 And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
18:4 ผลรุ่นแรกของท่านคือ ผลข้าว ผลน้ำองุ่น ผลน้ำมัน และขนแกะรุ่นแรกที่ได้จากแกะของท่าน จงมอบให้แก่ปุโรหิต
18:4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
18:5 เพราะว่าพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านได้เลือกเขาจากตระกูลชนทั้งสิ้นของท่าน ให้ยืนปรนนิบัติในพระนามพระเยโฮวาห์ ทั้งตัวเขาและลูกหลานของเขาสืบต่อกันไปเป็นนิตย์
18:5 For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.
18:6 ถ้าคนเลวีคนใดมาจากประตูเมืองใดในอิสราเอลอันเป็นที่อยู่ของเขา จะมายังสถานที่ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเลือกไว้ก็ให้เขามาได้ตามใจปรารถนา
18:6 And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;
18:7 แล้วเขาจะปรนนิบัติในพระนามพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเขา เช่นเดียวกับบรรดาคนเลวีพี่น้องของเขา ผู้ยืนปรนนิบัติต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์อยู่ที่นั่น
18:7 Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.
18:8 ให้เขาได้ส่วนที่จะรับประทานเท่าๆกัน นอกเหนือจากส่วนที่เขาได้มาด้วยการขายทรัพย์สินของเขาเอง
18:8 They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.
18:9 เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายเข้าไปในแผ่นดินซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านประทานแก่ท่าน ท่านอย่าเรียนรู้ที่จะกระทำตามสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนของประชาชาติเหล่านั้น
18:9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
18:10 อย่าให้มีคนหนึ่งคนใดในหมู่พวกท่านซึ่งให้บุตรชายหรือบุตรสาวของเขาลุยไฟ อย่าให้ผู้ใดเป็นคนทำนาย เป็นหมอดู เป็นหมอจับยามดูเหตุการณ์ หรือเป็นนักวิทยาคม
18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
18:11 เป็นหมอผี เป็นคนทรง เป็นพ่อมดแม่มด หรือเป็นหมอพราย
18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
18:12 เพราะทุกคนที่กระทำสิ่งเหล่านี้ย่อมเป็นที่สะอิดสะเอียนแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ และด้วยเหตุจากการกระทำที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนเหล่านี้ พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านทั้งหลายจึงทรงขับไล่เขาออกไปจากเบื้องหน้าท่าน
18:12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
18:13 ท่านทั้งหลายจงเป็นคนปราศจากตำหนิต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่าน
18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
18:14 เพราะว่าประชาชาติเหล่านี้ ซึ่งท่านกำลังจะยึดครองนั้นเชื่อฟังหมอดูและพวกโหร แต่ส่วนตัวท่านนั้น พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านไม่ทรงยินยอมให้ท่านกระทำเช่นนั้น
18:14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
18:15 พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านจะโปรดให้ผู้พยากรณ์อย่างข้าพเจ้านี้เกิดขึ้นในหมู่พวกท่านจากพี่น้องของท่าน ท่านทั้งหลายจงเชื่อฟังเขา
18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
18:16 อย่างที่ท่านปรารถนาจากพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านที่โฮเรบในวันประชุมเมื่อท่านกล่าวว่า `อย่าให้ข้าพเจ้าได้ยินพระสุรเสียงของพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้า หรือได้เห็นเพลิงมหึมานี้อีกเลย เกรงว่าข้าพเจ้าจะตายเสีย'
18:16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
18:17 และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า `ซึ่งเขาพูดมาเช่นนั้นก็ดีอยู่
18:17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18:18 เราจะโปรดให้บังเกิดผู้พยากรณ์อย่างเจ้าในหมู่พวกพี่น้องของเขา และเราจะใส่ถ้อยคำของเราในปากของเขา และเขาจะกล่าวบรรดาสิ่งที่เราบัญชาเขาไว้นั้นแก่ประชาชนทั้งหลาย
18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
18:19 ต่อมาผู้ใดไม่เชื่อฟังถ้อยคำของเรา ซึ่งผู้พยากรณ์กล่าวในนามของเรา เราจะกำหนดโทษผู้นั้น
18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
18:20 แต่ผู้พยากรณ์คนใดบังอาจกล่าวคำในนามของเราซึ่งเรามิได้บัญชาให้กล่าวหรือผู้นั้นกล่าวในนามของพระอื่น ผู้พยากรณ์นั้นต้องมีโทษถึงตาย'
18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
18:21 และถ้าท่านนึกในใจว่า `ทำอย่างไรเราจึงจะรู้พระวจนะที่พระเยโฮวาห์ยังมิได้ตรัสนั้นได้'
18:21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
18:22 เมื่อผู้พยากรณ์กล่าวคำในพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์ ถ้ามิได้เป็นไปจริงตามถ้อยคำของผู้กล่าว ถ้อยคำนั้นมิได้เป็นพระวจนะที่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัส ผู้พยากรณ์นั้นบังอาจกล่าวเอง ท่านทั้งหลายอย่าเกรงกลัวเขาเลย"
18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
