3:1 และข้าพเจ้ากล่าวว่า โอ ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เป็นประมุขของยาโคบ คือบรรดาผู้ครอบครองวงศ์วานอิสราเอลเอ๋ย จงฟัง ท่านทั้งหลายต้องทราบความยุติธรรมไม่ใช่หรือ
3:1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
3:2 ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เกลียดชังความดีและรักความชั่ว ผู้ที่ฉีกหนังออกจากประชาชนของเรา และฉีกเนื้อออกจากกระดูกของเขาทั้งหลาย
3:2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3:3 ผู้ที่กินเนื้อชนชาติของเรา และถลกหนังออกจากตัวเขาทั้งหลาย และหักกระดูกของเขา และสับเขาเป็นชิ้นๆ เหมือนกับทำไว้ใส่หม้อ และเหมือนเนื้อที่อยู่ในหม้อขนาดใหญ่
3:3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
3:4 แล้วเขาจะร้องทุกข์ต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ แต่พระองค์จะไม่ทรงฟังเขา คราวนั้นพระองค์จะทรงซ่อนพระพักตร์เสียจากเขาทั้งหลาย เพราะเขาได้ประพฤติอย่างชั่วร้าย
3:4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
3:5 พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสเกี่ยวด้วยเรื่องผู้พยากรณ์ผู้ที่นำชนชาติของข้าพเจ้าให้หลงไป ผู้ที่กัดด้วยฟันและร้องว่า "จงเป็นสุขเถิด" ผู้ที่ไม่ยื่นอะไรใส่ปากของเขา แต่พวกเขาประกาศสงครามต่อเขา
3:5 Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
3:6 เพราะฉะนั้น จะเป็นกลางคืนแก่เจ้าปราศจากนิมิต และความมืดทึบจะบังเกิดแก่เจ้าปราศจากการทำนาย สำหรับพวกผู้พยากรณ์นี้ดวงอาทิตย์จะตกไป และกลางวันก็จะมืดอยู่เหนือเขา
3:6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
3:7 ผู้ทำนายจะอับอาย พวกโหรจะขายหน้า เออ เขาทั้งหลายจะปิดริมฝีปากด้วยกันหมด เพราะว่าไม่มีคำตอบมาจากพระเจ้า
3:7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
3:8 แต่สำหรับข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าเต็มด้วยฤทธิ์เดช คือด้วยพระวิญญาณของพระเยโฮวาห์ และทั้งความยุติธรรมกับกำลังที่จะประกาศการละเมิดของยาโคบแก่เขาเอง และประกาศบาปของอิสราเอลแก่เขาเอง
3:8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
3:9 ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เป็นประมุขแห่งวงศ์วานของยาโคบ คือผู้ครอบครองวงศ์วานอิสราเอล จงฟังข้อความนี้ คือท่านผู้ชังความยุติธรรมและผู้แปรความเที่ยงตรงทั้งสิ้นให้ปรวนไป
3:9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
3:10 ผู้สร้างศิโยนด้วยโลหิต และสร้างเยรูซาเล็มด้วยความชั่วช้า
3:10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
3:11 ผู้เป็นประมุขของเมืองนี้ตัดสินความด้วยเห็นแก่สินบน ปุโรหิตของเธอสั่งสอนด้วยเห็นแก่สินจ้าง ผู้พยากรณ์ของเธอทำนายด้วยเห็นแก่เงิน ถึงกระนั้นเขาทั้งหลายยังอิงพระเยโฮวาห์และกล่าวว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสถิตท่ามกลางเรามิใช่หรือ ไม่มีความชั่วอย่างไรเกิดขึ้นแก่เราได้"
3:11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.
3:12 ด้วยเหตุนี้แหละ เพราะเจ้านี่เอง ศิโยนจะต้องถูกไถเหมือนไถนา เยรูซาเล็มจะกลายเป็นกองสิ่งปรักหักพัง และภูเขาแห่งพระนิเวศจะเป็นที่สูงซึ่งมีต้นไม้
3:12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
