7:1 แล้วเรื่องที่พวกท่านเขียนมาถึงข้าพเจ้านั้น ขอตอบว่า การที่ผู้ชายไม่ยุ่งเกี่ยวกับผู้หญิงเลยก็ดีแล้ว
7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
7:2 แต่เพื่อป้องกันการล่วงประเวณี ผู้ชายทุกคนควรมีภรรยาเป็นของตนและผู้หญิงทุกคนมีสามีเป็นของตน
7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
7:3 สามีพึงประพฤติต่อภรรยาตามควร และภรรยาก็พึงประพฤติต่อสามีตามควรเช่นเดียวกัน
7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
7:4 ภรรยาไม่มีอำนาจเหนือร่างกายของตน แต่สามีมีอำนาจเหนือร่างกายของภรรยา ทำนองเดียวกันสามีไม่มีอำนาจเหนือร่างกายของตน แต่ภรรยามีอำนาจเหนือร่างกายของสามี
7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
7:5 อย่าปฏิเสธการอยู่ร่วมกันเว้นแต่ได้ตกลงกันเป็นการชั่วคราว เพื่ออุทิศตัวในการถืออดอาหารและการอธิษฐาน แล้วจึงค่อยมาอยู่ร่วมกันอีก เพื่อมิให้ซาตานชักจูงให้ทำผิด เพราะตัวอดไม่ได้
7:5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
7:6 ข้าพเจ้ากล่าวเช่นนี้โดยได้รับอนุญาต มิใช่เป็นพระบัญชา
7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
7:7 ข้าพเจ้าปรารถนาที่จะให้ทุกคนเป็นเหมือนข้าพเจ้า แต่ทุกคนก็ได้รับของประทานจากพระเจ้าเหมาะกับตัว คนหนึ่งได้รับอย่างนี้ และอีกคนหนึ่งได้รับอย่างนั้น
7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
7:8 เหตุฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าขอกล่าวแก่คนที่ยังเป็นโสดและพวกแม่ม่ายว่า การที่เขาจะอยู่เหมือนข้าพเจ้าก็ดีแล้ว
7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
7:9 แต่ถ้าเขายั้งใจไม่ได้ก็จงแต่งงานเสียเถิด เพราะแต่งงานเสียก็ดีกว่ามีใจเร่าร้อนด้วยกามราคะ
7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
7:10 ส่วนคนที่แต่งงานแล้วข้าพเจ้าขอสั่ง มิใช่ข้าพเจ้าสั่งเอง แต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงบัญชาว่า อย่าให้ภรรยาทิ้งสามี
7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
7:11 แต่ถ้านางทิ้งสามีไปอย่าให้นางไปมีสามีใหม่ หรือไม่ก็ให้นางกลับมาคืนดีกับสามีเก่า และขออย่าให้สามีหย่าร้างภรรยาเลย
7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
7:12 ข้าพเจ้าขอกล่าวแก่คนอื่นๆนอกจากพวกนี้ (องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ามิได้ตรัส) ว่า ถ้าพี่น้องคนใดมีภรรยาที่ไม่เชื่อและนางพอใจที่จะอยู่กับสามี สามีก็ไม่ควรหย่านาง
7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
7:13 ถ้าหญิงคนใดมีสามีที่ไม่เชื่อและสามีพอใจที่จะอยู่กับนาง นางก็ไม่ควรหย่าสามีนั้นเลย
7:13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
7:14 ด้วยว่าสามีที่ไม่เชื่อนั้นได้รับการทรงชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ทางภรรยา และภรรยาที่ไม่เชื่อก็ได้รับการทรงชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ทางสามี มิฉะนั้นลูกของท่านก็เป็นมลทิน แต่บัดนี้ลูกเหล่านั้นก็บริสุทธิ์
7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
7:15 แต่ถ้าคนที่ไม่เชื่อจะแยกไป ก็จงให้เขาไปเถิด เรื่องเช่นนี้ไม่จำเป็นที่พี่น้องชายหญิงจะผูกมัดให้จำใจอยู่ด้วยกัน เพราะว่าพระเจ้าได้ทรงเรียกเราให้อยู่อย่างสงบ
7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
7:16 โอ ท่านผู้เป็นภรรยา ไฉนท่านจะรู้ได้ว่าท่านจะช่วยสามีให้รอดได้หรือไม่ โอ ท่านผู้เป็นสามี ไฉนท่านจะรู้ได้ว่าท่านจะช่วยภรรยาให้รอดได้หรือไม่
7:16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
7:17 แต่ตามที่พระเจ้าได้ทรงประทานฐานะแก่แต่ละคนอย่างไร เมื่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ทรงเรียกให้เขามาแล้ว ก็ให้เขาดำรงอยู่ในฐานะนั้น ข้าพเจ้าขอสั่งให้คริสตจักรทั้งหมดทำตามดังนั้น
7:17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
7:18 มีชายคนใดที่พระเจ้าทรงเรียกเมื่อเขาได้รับพิธีเข้าสุหนัตแล้วหรือ อย่าให้เขากลับเป็นเหมือนคนที่ไม่ได้เข้าสุหนัต หรือมีชายคนใดที่พระเจ้าทรงเรียกเมื่อเขามิได้เข้าสุหนัตหรือ อย่าให้เขาเข้าสุหนัตเลย
7:18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
7:19 การเข้าสุหนัตไม่สำคัญอะไร และการไม่เข้าสุหนัตไม่สำคัญอะไร แต่การรักษาพระบัญญัติของพระเจ้านั้นสำคัญ
7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
7:20 ให้ทุกคนอยู่ในฐานะที่เขาอยู่เมื่อพระเจ้าทรงเรียกนั้น
7:20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
7:21 พระเจ้าทรงเรียกท่านเมื่อยังเป็นทาสอยู่หรือ ก็อย่ากระวนกระวายเพราะการเป็นทาสนั้น แต่ถ้าท่านสามารถไถ่ตัวออกได้ก็ควรไถ่ดีกว่า
7:21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
7:22 เพราะผู้ใดที่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงเรียกเมื่อยังเป็นทาสอยู่ ผู้นั้นเป็นเสรีชนขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เช่นเดียวกันคนที่รับการทรงเรียกเมื่อเป็นเสรีชน คนนั้นเป็นผู้รับใช้ของพระคริสต์
7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
7:23 พระเจ้าทรงซื้อท่านไว้แล้วตามราคา อย่าเข้าเป็นทาสของมนุษย์เลย
7:23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
7:24 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ท่านทุกคนดำรงอยู่ในฐานะอันใดเมื่อพระเจ้าทรงเรียก ก็ให้ผู้นั้นอยู่กับพระเจ้าในฐานะนั้น
7:24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
7:25 แล้วเรื่องหญิงสาวพรหมจารีนั้น ข้าพเจ้าไม่ได้รับพระบัญชาจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า แต่ข้าพเจ้าก็ขอออกความเห็นในฐานะที่เป็นผู้ได้รับพระเมตตาจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าให้เป็นผู้ที่ไว้ใจได้
7:25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
7:26 ฉะนั้นเพราะเหตุความยากลำบากที่มีอยู่ในเวลานี้ ข้าพเจ้าเห็นว่า ทุกคนควรจะอยู่อย่างที่เขาอยู่เดี๋ยวนี้
7:26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
7:27 ท่านมีภรรยาแล้วหรือ อย่าหาช่องที่จะหย่าภรรยาเลย ท่านหย่าจากภรรยาแล้วหรือ อย่าหาภรรยาเลย
7:27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
7:28 ถ้าท่านจะแต่งงานก็ไม่มีความผิด และถ้าหญิงสาวพรหมจารีจะแต่งงานก็ไม่มีความผิด แต่คนที่แต่งงานนั้นคงจะต้องยุ่งยากลำบากในฝ่ายเนื้อหนัง แต่ข้าพเจ้าปรารถนาที่จะให้ท่านพ้นจากความยุ่งยากนั้น
7:28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.
7:29 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าหมายความว่ายุคนี้ก็สั้นมากแล้ว ตั้งแต่นี้ไปให้คนเหล่านั้นที่มีภรรยาดำเนินชีวิตเหมือนกับไม่มีภรรยา
7:29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
7:30 และให้คนที่เศร้าโศกเป็นเหมือนกับมิได้เศร้าโศก และผู้ที่ชื่นชมยินดีให้ได้เป็นเหมือนกับมิได้ชื่นชมยินดี และผู้ที่ซื้อก็ให้ดำเนินชีวิตเหมือนกับว่าเขาไม่มีกรรมสิทธิ์เหนืออะไรเลย
7:30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;
7:31 และคนที่ใช้ของโลกนี้ให้เป็นเหมือนกับมิได้ใช้อย่างเต็มที่เลย เพราะความนิยมของโลกนี้กำลังล่วงไป
7:31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
7:32 ข้าพเจ้าอยากให้ท่านพ้นจากความสาละวนวุ่นวาย ฝ่ายคนที่ไม่มีภรรยาก็สาละวนในการงานขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เพื่อจะทำสิ่งซึ่งเป็นที่พอพระทัยองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
7:33 แต่คนที่มีภรรยาแล้วก็สาละวนในการงานของโลกนี้เพื่อจะทำสิ่งที่พอใจของภรรยา
7:33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
7:34 มีความแตกต่างกันด้วยระหว่างภรรยาและสาวพรหมจารี หญิงที่ยังไม่แต่งงานก็สาละวนในการงานขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เพื่อจะได้เป็นคนบริสุทธิ์ทั้งกายและจิตใจ แต่หญิงที่มีสามีแล้วก็สาละวนในการงานของโลกนี้เพื่อจะทำสิ่งซึ่งเป็นที่พอใจของสามี
7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
7:35 ข้าพเจ้าว่าอย่างนี้ก็เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ของท่าน มิใช่จะเอาบ่วงบาศคล้องท่านแต่เพื่อความเป็นระเบียบ ให้ท่านปฏิบัติองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าโดยปราศจากใจสองฝักสองฝ่าย
7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
7:36 แต่ถ้าชายใดคิดว่าเขาปฏิบัติต่อสาวพรหมจารีของเขาอย่างสมควรไม่ได้ และถ้าหญิงนั้นมีอายุผ่านวัยหนุ่มสาวแล้ว และต้องทำอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งก็ให้เขาทำตามปรารถนา จงให้เขาแต่งงานเสีย เขาไม่ได้ทำผิดสิ่งใด
7:36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
7:37 แต่ชายใดที่ตั้งใจแน่วแน่และเห็นว่าไม่มีความจำเป็น แต่เขาบังคับใจตนเองได้ และตั้งใจว่าจะให้หญิงนั้นเป็นพรหมจารีต่อไป เขาก็กระทำดีแล้ว
7:37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
7:38 เหตุฉะนั้นผู้ใดที่ให้หญิงนั้นแต่งงานก็ทำดีอยู่ แต่ผู้ที่ไม่ให้แต่งงานก็ทำดีกว่า
7:38 So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
7:39 ตราบใดที่สามียังมีชีวิตอยู่ ภรรยาก็ต้องอยู่กับสามีตามกฎหมาย แต่ถ้าสามีตาย นางก็เป็นอิสระจะแต่งงานกับชายใดก็ได้ตามใจ ในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเท่านั้น
7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
7:40 แต่ตามความเห็นของข้าพเจ้าก็เห็นว่าถ้านางอยู่คนเดียวจะเป็นสุขกว่า และข้าพเจ้าคิดว่าพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าทรงสถิตอยู่ฝ่ายข้าพเจ้าด้วย
7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
