20:1 ครั้นการวุ่นวายนั้นสงบแล้ว เปาโลจึงให้ไปตามพวกสาวกมากอดกันแล้วก็ลาเขาไปยังแคว้นมาซิโดเนีย
20:1 And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.
20:2 เมื่อได้ข้ามที่นั้นไปแล้วและได้สั่งเตือนสติเขามาก ท่านก็มายังประเทศกรีก
20:2 And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,
20:3 พักอยู่ที่นั่นสามเดือน และเมื่อท่านจวนจะลงเรือไปยังแคว้นซีเรีย พวกยิวก็คิดร้ายต่อท่าน ท่านจึงตั้งใจกลับไปทางแคว้นมาซิโดเนีย
20:3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
20:4 คนที่ไปยังแคว้นเอเชียกับเปาโลคือโสปาเทอร์ชาวเมืองเบโรอา อาริสทารคัสกับเสคุนดัสชาวเมืองเธสะโลนิกา กายอัสชาวเมืองเดอร์บี และทิโมธี ทีคิกัสกับโตรฟีมัสชาวแคว้นเอเชีย
20:4 And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.
20:5 แต่คนเหล่านั้นได้เดินทางล่วงหน้าไปคอยพวกเราอยู่ที่เมืองโตรอัสก่อน
20:5 These going before tarried for us at Troas.
20:6 ครั้นวันเทศกาลขนมปังไร้เชื้อล่วงไปแล้ว เราทั้งหลายจึงลงเรือออกจากเมืองฟีลิปปี และต่อมาห้าวันก็มาถึงพวกนั้นที่เมืองโตรอัส และยับยั้งอยู่ที่นั่นเจ็ดวัน
20:6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
20:7 ในวันต้นสัปดาห์เมื่อพวกสาวกประชุมกันทำพิธีหักขนมปัง เปาโลก็กล่าวสั่งสอนเขา เพราะว่าวันรุ่งขึ้นจะลาไปจากเขาแล้ว ท่านได้กล่าวยืดยาวไปจนเที่ยงคืน
20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
20:8 มีตะเกียงหลายดวงในห้องชั้นบนที่เขาประชุมกันนั้น
20:8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
20:9 ชายหนุ่มคนหนึ่งชื่อยุทิกัสนั่งอยู่ที่หน้าต่างง่วงนอนเต็มที และเมื่อเปาโลสั่งสอนช้านานไปอีก คนนั้นก็โงกพลัดตกจากหน้าต่างชั้นที่สาม เมื่อยกขึ้นก็เห็นว่าตายเสียแล้ว
20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
20:10 ฝ่ายเปาโลจึงลงไป ก้มตัวกอดผู้นั้นไว้ แล้วว่า "อย่าตกใจเลย ด้วยว่าชีวิตยังอยู่ในตัวเขา"
20:10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
20:11 ครั้นเปาโลขึ้นไปห้องชั้นบนหักขนมปังและรับประทานแล้ว ก็สนทนาต่อไปอีกช้านานจนสว่าง ท่านก็ลาเขาไป
20:11 When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
20:12 คนทั้งหลายจึงพาคนหนุ่มผู้ยังเป็นอยู่ไป และก็ปลื้มใจยินดีไม่น้อยเลย
20:12 And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.
20:13 ฝ่ายพวกเราก็ลงเรือแล่นไปยังเมืองอัสโสสก่อน ตั้งใจว่าจะรับเปาโลที่นั่น ด้วยท่านสั่งไว้อย่างนั้น เพราะท่านหมายว่าจะไปทางบก
20:13 And we went before to ship, and sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot.
20:14 ครั้นท่านพบกับเราที่เมืองอัสโสส เราก็รับท่าน แล้วมายังเมืองมิทิเลนี
20:14 And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.
20:15 ครั้นแล่นเรือออกจากที่นั่นได้วันหนึ่งก็มายังที่ตรงข้ามเกาะคิโอส วันที่สองก็มาถึงเกาะสามอส และหยุดพักที่โตรกิเลียม และอีกวันหนึ่งก็มาถึงเมืองมิเลทัส
20:15 And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.
20:16 ด้วยว่าเปาโลได้ตั้งใจว่า จะแล่นเลยเมืองเอเฟซัสไป เพื่อจะไม่ต้องค้างอยู่นานในแคว้นเอเชีย เพราะท่านรีบให้ถึงกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม ถ้าเป็นได้ให้ทันวันเทศกาลเพ็นเทคศเต
20:16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
20:17 เปาโลจึงใช้คนจากเมืองมิเลทัสไปยังเมืองเอเฟซัส ให้เชิญพวกผู้ปกครองในคริสตจักรนั้นมา
20:17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
20:18 ครั้นเขาทั้งหลายมาถึงเปาโลแล้ว เปาโลจึงกล่าวแก่เขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายย่อมทราบอยู่เองว่า ข้าพเจ้าได้ประพฤติต่อท่านอย่างไรทุกเวลา ตั้งแต่วันแรกที่ข้าพเจ้าเข้ามาในแคว้นเอเชีย
20:18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
20:19 ข้าพเจ้าได้ปรนนิบัติองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าด้วยความถ่อมใจ ด้วยน้ำตาไหลเป็นอันมาก และด้วยการถูกทดลอง ซึ่งมาถึงข้าพเจ้าเพราะพวกยิวคิดร้ายต่อข้าพเจ้า
20:19 Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
20:20 และสิ่งหนึ่งสิ่งใดซึ่งเป็นคุณประโยชน์แก่ท่านทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้ามิได้ปิดซ่อนไว้ แต่ได้ชี้แจงให้ท่านเห็นกับได้สั่งสอนท่านต่อหน้าคนทั้งปวงและตามบ้านเรือน
20:20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
20:21 ทั้งเป็นพยานแก่พวกยิวและพวกกรีก ถึงเรื่องการกลับใจใหม่เฉพาะพระเจ้า และความเชื่อในพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา
20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
20:22 ดูเถิด บัดนี้พระวิญญาณพันผูกข้าพเจ้า จึงจำเป็นจะต้องไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม ไม่ทราบว่าจะมีอะไรเกิดขึ้นกับข้าพเจ้าที่นั่นบ้าง
20:22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
20:23 เว้นไว้แต่พระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ทรงเป็นพยานในทุกบ้านทุกเมืองว่า เครื่องจองจำและความยากลำบากคอยท่าข้าพเจ้าอยู่
20:23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
20:24 แต่สิ่งเหล่านี้ไม่ได้เปลี่ยนแปลงข้าพเจ้าเลย ข้าพเจ้ามิได้ถือว่าชีวิตของข้าพเจ้าเป็นสิ่งประเสริฐแก่ข้าพเจ้า แต่ในชีวิตของข้าพเจ้าขอทำหน้าที่ให้สำเร็จด้วยความปีติยินดี และทำการปรนนิบัติที่ได้รับมอบหมายจากพระเยซูเจ้า คือที่จะเป็นพยานถึงข่าวประเสริฐแห่งพระคุณของพระเจ้านั้น
20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
20:25 ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าเที่ยวป่าวประกาศอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าในหมู่พวกท่าน บัดนี้ ข้าพเจ้าทราบอยู่ว่าท่านทั้งหลายจะไม่เห็นหน้าข้าพเจ้าอีก
20:25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
20:26 เหตุฉะนั้น วันนี้ข้าพเจ้ายืนยันต่อท่านทั้งหลายว่า ข้าพเจ้าหมดราคีจากโลหิตของทุกคน
20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
20:27 เพราะว่า ข้าพเจ้ามิได้ย่อท้อในการกล่าวเรื่องพระดำริของพระเจ้าทั้งสิ้น ให้ท่านทั้งหลายฟัง
20:27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
20:28 เพราะฉะนั้นท่านทั้งหลายจงระวังตัวให้ดี และจงรักษาฝูงแกะที่พระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ได้ทรงตั้งท่านไว้ให้เป็นผู้ดูแล และเพื่อจะได้บำรุงเลี้ยงคริสตจักรของพระเจ้า ที่พระองค์ทรงไถ่ด้วยพระโลหิตของพระองค์เอง
20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
20:29 ข้าพเจ้าทราบอยู่ว่า เมื่อข้าพเจ้าไปแล้ว จะมีสุนัขป่าอันร้ายเข้ามาในหมู่พวกท่าน และจะไม่ละเว้นฝูงแกะไว้เลย
20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
20:30 จะมีบางคนในหมู่พวกท่านเองขึ้นกล่าวบิดเบือนความจริง เพื่อจะชักชวนพวกสาวกให้หลงตามเขาไป
20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
20:31 เหตุฉะนั้นจงตื่นตัวอยู่และจำไว้ว่า ข้าพเจ้าได้สั่งสอนเตือนสติท่านทุกคนด้วยน้ำตาไหล ทั้งกลางวันกลางคืนตลอดสามปีมิได้หยุดหย่อน
20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
20:32 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าฝากท่านไว้กับพระเจ้าและกับพระดำรัสแห่งพระคุณของพระองค์ ซึ่งมีฤทธิ์ก่อสร้างท่านขึ้นได้ และให้ท่านมีมรดกด้วยกันกับบรรดาผู้ที่ทรงแยกตั้งไว้
20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
20:33 ข้าพเจ้ามิได้โลภเงินหรือทองหรือเสื้อผ้าของผู้ใด
20:33 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
20:34 แล้วท่านทั้งหลายทราบว่า มือของข้าพเจ้าเองนี้ ได้จัดหาสิ่งที่จำเป็นสำหรับตัวข้าพเจ้ากับคนที่อยู่กับข้าพเจ้า
20:34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
20:35 ข้าพเจ้าได้วางแบบอย่างไว้ให้ท่านทุกอย่างแล้ว ให้เห็นว่าโดยทำงานเช่นนี้ควรจะช่วยคนที่มีกำลังน้อย และให้ระลึกถึงพระวจนะของพระเยซูเจ้า ซึ่งพระองค์ตรัสว่า `การให้เป็นเหตุให้มีความสุขยิ่งกว่าการรับ'"
20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
20:36 ครั้นเปาโลกล่าวอย่างนั้นแล้วจึงคุกเข่าลงอธิษฐานกับคนเหล่านั้น
20:36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
20:37 เขาทั้งหลายจึงร้องไห้มากมาย และกอดคอของเปาโล จุบท่าน
20:37 And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,
20:38 เขาเป็นทุกข์มากที่สุดเพราะเหตุถ้อยคำที่ท่านกล่าวว่า เขาจะไม่เห็นหน้าท่านอีก แล้วเขาก็พาท่านไปส่งที่เรือ
20:38 Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.
