26:1 ฝ่ายอากริปปาจึงตรัสกับเปาโลว่า "เราอนุญาตให้เจ้าให้การแก้ข้อหาเองได้" เปาโลจึงยื่นมือออกกล่าวแก้คดีว่า
26:1 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
26:2 "ท่านกษัตริย์อากริปปาเจ้าข้า ข้าพระองค์ถือว่าเป็นโอกาสดีที่ได้แก้คดีต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์วันนี้ ในเรื่องข้อคดีทั้งปวงซึ่งพวกยิวกล่าวหาข้าพระองค์นั้น
26:2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
26:3 โดยเฉพาะเพราะพระองค์มีความรู้ชำนาญยิ่งในบรรดาขนบธรรมเนียมและปัญหาต่างๆของพวกยิวแล้ว เหตุฉะนั้นขอพระองค์ได้โปรดทนฟังข้าพระองค์
26:3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
26:4 พวกยิวทั้งหลายก็รู้จักความเป็นอยู่ของข้าพระองค์ตั้งแต่เป็นเด็กมาแล้ว คือตั้งแต่แรกข้าพระองค์ได้อยู่ท่ามกลางชนชาติของข้าพระองค์ในกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม
26:4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
26:5 เขารู้จักข้าพระองค์แต่เดิมมา ถ้าเขาจะยอมเป็นพยานก็เป็นได้ว่าข้าพระองค์ดำรงชีวิตตามพวกที่ถือเคร่งครัดที่สุด คือเป็นพวกฟาริสี
26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
26:6 บัดนี้ข้าพระองค์ต้องมายืนให้พิจารณาพิพากษา ก็เนื่องด้วยเรื่องมีความหวังใจในพระสัญญาซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ตรัสแก่บรรพบุรุษของพวกข้าพระองค์นั้น
26:6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
26:7 พวกข้าพระองค์สิบสองตระกูลได้อุตส่าห์ปรนนิบัติพระเจ้าทั้งกลางวันกลางคืน ด้วยหวังใจว่าจะบรรลุถึงความสำเร็จตามพระสัญญานั้น ข้าแต่กษัตริย์อากริปปา เพราะความหวังใจอันนี้พวกยิวจึงฟ้องข้าพระองค์
26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
26:8 เหตุไฉนท่านทั้งหลายจึงพากันถือว่า การที่พระเจ้าจะทรงให้คนตายเป็นขึ้นมาเป็นการที่เชื่อไม่ได้
26:8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
26:9 ข้าพระองค์เคยได้คิดในใจของตนเองว่า สมควรจะทำหลายสิ่งซึ่งขัดขวางพระนามของพระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธนั้น
26:9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
26:10 สิ่งเหล่านั้นข้าพระองค์ได้กระทำในกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม เมื่อข้าพระองค์รับอำนาจจากพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่แล้ว ข้าพระองค์ได้ขังวิสุทธิชนหลายคนไว้ในคุก และครั้นเขาถูกลงโทษถึงตาย ข้าพระองค์ก็เห็นดีด้วย
26:10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
26:11 ข้าพระองค์ได้ทำโทษเขาบ่อยๆในธรรมศาลาทุกแห่ง และบังคับเขาให้กล่าวคำหมิ่นประมาท และเพราะข้าพระองค์โกรธเขายิ่งนัก ข้าพระองค์ได้ตามไปข่มเหงถึงเมืองในต่างประเทศ
26:11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
26:12 ดังนั้นเมื่อข้าพระองค์กำลังไปยังเมืองดามัสกัส ได้ถืออำนาจและงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายจากพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่
26:12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
26:13 โอ ข้าแต่กษัตริย์ ในเวลาเที่ยงวันเมื่อกำลังเดินทางไป ข้าพระองค์ได้เห็นแสงสว่างกล้ายิ่งกว่าแสงอาทิตย์ส่องลงมาจากท้องฟ้า ล้อมรอบข้าพระองค์กับคนทั้งหลายที่ไปกับข้าพระองค์
26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
26:14 ครั้นข้าพระองค์กับคนทั้งหลายล้มคะมำลงที่ดิน ข้าพระองค์ได้ยินพระสุรเสียงตรัสแก่ข้าพระองค์เป็นภาษาฮีบรูว่า `เซาโล เซาโลเอ๋ย เจ้าข่มเหงเราทำไม ซึ่งเจ้าถีบประตักก็ยากนัก'
26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
26:15 ข้าพระองค์ทูลถามว่า `พระองค์เจ้าข้า พระองค์ทรงเป็นผู้ใด' พระองค์จึงตรัสว่า `เราคือเยซูซึ่งเจ้าข่มเหง
26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
26:16 แต่ว่าจงลุกขึ้นยืนเถิด ด้วยว่าเราได้ปรากฏแก่เจ้าเพื่อจะตั้งเจ้าไว้ให้เป็นผู้รับใช้และเป็นพยานถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งเจ้าเห็น และถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เราจะแสดงตัวเราเองแก่เจ้าในเวลาภายหน้า
26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
26:17 เราจะช่วยเจ้าให้พ้นจากชนชาตินี้และจากคนต่างชาติที่เราจะใช้เจ้าไปหานั้น
26:17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
26:18 เพื่อจะให้เจ้าเปิดตาของเขา เพื่อเขาจะกลับจากความมืดมาถึงความสว่าง และจากอำนาจของซาตานมาถึงพระเจ้า เพื่อเขาจะได้รับการยกโทษความผิดบาปของเขา และให้ได้รับมรดกด้วยกันกับคนทั้งหลายซึ่งถูกแยกตั้งไว้แล้วโดยความเชื่อในเรา'
26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
26:19 โอ ข้าแต่กษัตริย์อากริปปา เมื่อเป็นเช่นนั้นแล้ว ข้าพระองค์จึงเชื่อฟังนิมิตซึ่งมาจากสวรรค์นั้น
26:19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
26:20 แต่ข้าพระองค์ได้กล่าวสั่งสอนเขา ตั้งต้นที่เมืองดามัสกัสและในกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม ทั่วแว่นแคว้นยูเดีย และแก่ชาวต่างประเทศ ให้เขากลับใจใหม่ ให้หันมาหาพระเจ้าและกระทำการซึ่งสมกับที่กลับใจใหม่แล้ว
26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
26:21 เพราะเหตุนี้พวกยิวจึงจับข้าพระองค์ที่พระวิหาร และพยายามหาช่องที่จะฆ่าข้าพระองค์เสีย
26:21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
26:22 เป็นเพราะพระเจ้าได้ทรงโปรดช่วยข้าพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์จึงมีชีวิตอยู่จนถึงทุกวันนี้และเป็นพยานได้ต่อหน้าผู้ใหญ่ผู้น้อย ข้าพระองค์ไม่พูดเรื่องอื่นนอกจากเรื่องซึ่งบรรดาศาสดาพยากรณ์กับโมเสสได้กล่าวไว้ว่าจะมีขึ้น
26:22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
26:23 คือว่าพระคริสต์จะต้องทนทุกข์ทรมาน และพระองค์จะทรงแสดงความสว่างแก่ชนอิสราเอลและแก่คนต่างชาติ โดยที่ทรงเป็นผู้แรกซึ่งคืนพระชนม์"
26:23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
26:24 ครั้นเปาโลกำลังพูดแก้คดีอย่างนั้น เฟสทัสจึงร้องเสียงดังว่า "เปาโลเอ๋ย เจ้าคลั่งไปเสียแล้ว เจ้าเรียนรู้วิชามากจึงทำให้เจ้าคลั่งไป"
26:24 And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
26:25 แต่เปาโลกล่าวว่า "ท่านเฟสทัสเจ้าข้า ข้าพระองค์ไม่คลั่งเลย แต่ว่าได้พูดคำแห่งความจริงและคำที่ปกติชนจะพูด
26:25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
26:26 ด้วยว่าท่านกษัตริย์ทรงทราบข้อความเหล่านี้ดีแล้ว ข้าพระองค์จึงกล้ากล่าวต่อพระพักตร์ของพระองค์ เพราะข้าพระองค์เชื่อแน่ว่า ไม่มีสักอย่างหนึ่งในบรรดาเหตุการณ์เหล่านั้นที่ได้พ้นพระเนตรของพระองค์ เพราะการเหล่านั้นมิได้กระทำกันในที่ลับลี้
26:26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
26:27 ข้าแต่กษัตริย์อากริปปา พระองค์เชื่อพวกศาสดาพยากรณ์หรือไม่พระเจ้าข้า ข้าพระองค์ทราบว่าพระองค์เชื่อ"
26:27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
26:28 อากริปปาจึงตรัสกับเปาโลว่า "เราเกือบจะเป็นคริสเตียนโดยคำชักชวนของเจ้า"
26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
26:29 เปาโลจึงทูลว่า "จำเพาะพระพักตร์พระเจ้า ข้าพระองค์มีความปรารถนายิ่งนักที่จะให้เป็นเหมือนอย่างข้าพระองค์ มิใช่พระองค์องค์เดียว แต่คนทั้งปวงที่ฟังข้าพระองค์วันนี้ด้วย เว้นเสียแต่เครื่องจองจำนี้"
26:29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
26:30 และเมื่อเปาโลกล่าวสิ่งเหล่านี้แล้ว กษัตริย์กับผู้ว่าราชการเมืองและพระนางเบอร์นิส และคนทั้งปวงที่นั่งอยู่ด้วยกันจึงลุกขึ้น
26:30 And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
26:31 ครั้นออกไปแล้วจึงพากันพูดว่า "คนนี้มิได้ทำสิ่งใดที่สมควรจะถูกลงโทษถึงตายหรือจองจำไว้"
26:31 And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
26:32 ฝ่ายอากริปปาจึงตรัสกับเฟสทัสว่า "ถ้าคนนี้มิได้อุทธรณ์ถึงซีซาร์แล้วจะปล่อยเขาก็ได้"
26:32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
