2:1 ด้วยพระพิโรธ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงใช้เมฆบังธิดาของศิโยนหนอ พระองค์ได้ทรงเหวี่ยงสง่าราศีของอิสราเอลให้ตกลงจากฟ้าถึงดิน พระองค์มิได้ทรงระลึกถึงแท่นรองพระบาทของพระองค์เลยในยามที่พระองค์ทรงกริ้ว
2:1 How hath the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!
2:2 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงกลืนที่อยู่ทั้งสิ้นของยาโคบเสียแล้ว และไม่ทรงเมตตา พระองค์ได้ทรงพังป้อมปราการทั้งหลายของธิดาแห่งยูดาห์ให้ลงด้วยพระพิโรธของพระองค์ พระองค์ได้ทรงทลายป้อมปราการเหล่านั้นลงถึงดิน และทรงกระทำให้ราชอาณาจักรและเจ้านายทั้งหลายในนั้นเป็นมลทินไป
2:2 The LORD hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them down to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.
2:3 พระองค์ได้ทรงตัดบรรดาเขาแห่งอิสราเอลให้ขาดสิ้นไปด้วยพระพิโรธอันรุนแรงของพระองค์ พระองค์ทรงดึงพระหัตถ์เบื้องขวาของพระองค์กลับมาเสียจากเขาต่อหน้าศัตรู และพระองค์ทรงเผาผลาญคนยาโคบดุจเพลิงลุกโพลงไหม้ไปรอบๆ
2:3 He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about.
2:4 พระองค์ทรงโก่งธนูของพระองค์อย่างศัตรู ทรงยกพระหัตถ์เบื้องขวาทีท่าปัจจามิตร และได้ทรงประหารบรรดาคนที่ตาของเราจะอวดได้นั้นเสียในกระโจมของธิดาแห่งศิโยน พระองค์ได้ทรงระบายพระพิโรธของพระองค์ออกมาดุจเพลิง
2:4 He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.
2:5 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงเป็นเหมือนศัตรู พระองค์ได้ทรงกลืนพวกอิสราเอลเสีย พระองค์ได้ทรงกลืนบรรดาวังของเขาหมด และได้ทรงทำลายที่กำบังของเขาให้ ทรงทวีความเศร้าโศกและการคร่ำครวญในธิดาแห่งยูดาห์
2:5 The LORD was as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Israel, he hath swallowed up all her palaces: he hath destroyed his strong holds, and hath increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.
2:6 พระองค์ได้ทรงพังพลับพลาของพระองค์เสียเหมือนหนึ่งเป็นเพิงในสวน ทรงทำลายสถานที่ประชุมทั้งหลายของพระองค์ พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงกระทำทั้งเทศกาลตามกำหนดและวันสะบาโตให้ลืมเลือนไปในศิโยน ด้วยพระพิโรธอันเดือดดาลพระองค์ทรงดูถูกองค์กษัตริย์และปุโรหิต
2:6 And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
2:7 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ทรงทิ้งแท่นบูชาของพระองค์เสีย พระองค์ทรงเกลียดสถานบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ กำแพงวังทั้งหลายนั้น พระองค์ได้ทรงมอบไว้ในเงื้อมมือศัตรู เขาทั้งหลายได้ส่งเสียงอึกทึกในพระนิเวศแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์เหมือนอย่างในวันเทศกาลตามกำหนด
2:7 The LORD hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.
2:8 พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงตั้งพระทัยไว้แล้วว่าจะทำลายกำแพงของธิดาแห่งศิโยนเสีย พระองค์ได้ทรงขึงเส้นวัดไว้แล้ว พระองค์มิได้ทรงหดพระหัตถ์เลิกการทำลาย เหตุฉะนี้พระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำให้เนินดินและกำแพงนั้นคร่ำครวญ ให้ทรุดโทรมร่วงโรยไปด้วยกัน
2:8 The LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.
2:9 ประตูเมืองศิโยนทั้งสิ้นทรุดลงในดินแล้ว พระองค์ได้ทรงทำลายและทรงหักดาลประตูทั้งปวงเสียสิ้น กษัตริย์และเจ้านายทั้งหลายแห่งศิโยนก็ตกอยู่ท่ามกลางประชาชาติ ไม่มีพระราชบัญญัติอีกต่อไป บรรดาผู้พยากรณ์แห่งเมืองศิโยนหาได้รับนิมิตจากพระเยโฮวาห์อีกไม่
2:9 Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.
2:10 พวกผู้ใหญ่ของธิดาแห่งศิโยนก็กำลังนั่งเงียบอยู่บนพื้นแผ่นดิน เขาทั้งหลายเอาผงคลีดินซัดขึ้นบนศีรษะของตัว และนุ่งห่มผ้ากระสอบ สาวพรหมจารีทั้งหลายแห่งกรุงเยรูซาเล็มคอตกไปถึงดิน
2:10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
2:11 นัยน์ตาของข้าพเจ้าก็ร่วงโรยเพราะร้องไห้ จิตวิญญาณของข้าพเจ้าก็ระทม เพราะความพินาศของธิดาแห่งชนชาติของข้าพเจ้า ตับของข้าพเจ้าเทออกบนพื้นดิน และเพราะเหล่าเด็กเล็กและเด็กที่ยังดูดนมนั้นเป็นลมสลบอยู่ตามถนนในกรุง
2:11 Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.
2:12 ลูกทั้งหลายถามแม่ของตัวว่า "แม่จ๋า ข้าวและน้ำองุ่นอยู่ที่ไหน" ขณะเมื่อเขาเป็นลมดุจคนที่ถูกบาดเจ็บตามถนนในกรุง เมื่อชีวิตของเขาต้องเทออกที่อกแม่ของเขาทั้งหลาย
2:12 They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom.
2:13 โอ ธิดาแห่งเยรูซาเล็มเอ๋ย ข้าพเจ้าจะเอาอะไรมาเป็นพยานฝ่ายเจ้าได้ ข้าพเจ้าจะเปรียบเจ้ากับอะไร โอ ธิดาพรหมจารีแห่งศิโยนเอ๋ย ข้าพเจ้าจะหาอะไรที่มาเทียบกับเจ้าได้เล่า เพื่อข้าพเจ้าจะเล้าโลมเจ้าได้ เพราะความอับปางของเจ้าก็ใหญ่เทียมเท่าสมุทร ผู้ใดจะรักษาเจ้าได้เล่า
2:13 What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee?
2:14 ผู้พยากรณ์ทั้งหลายของเจ้าได้เห็นสิ่งที่โง่เขลาและไร้สาระมาบอกเจ้า แทนที่เขาจะเผยความชั่วช้าของเจ้าออกมาให้ประจักษ์ เพื่อจะให้เจ้ากลับสู่สภาพดี เขาทั้งหลายกลับได้เห็นภาระที่เทียมเท็จอันเป็นเหตุให้เกิดการเนรเทศ
2:14 Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.
2:15 บรรดาคนที่ได้ผ่านไปมาก็ตบมือเยาะเย้ยเจ้า เขาทั้งหลายได้เย้ยหยันและได้สั่นศีรษะใส่ธิดาแห่งเยรูซาเล็มแล้วว่า "นี่หรือคือกรุงที่คนทั้งหลายได้ขนานนามว่า งามหมดจด ว่า เป็นความชื่นชมยินดีของคนทั่วทั้งโลก"
2:15 All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
2:16 บรรดาศัตรูของเจ้าได้อ้าปากตะโกนโพนทะนาเจ้า เขาทั้งหลายเย้ยหยันและขบเขี้ยวเคี้ยวฟัน เขาพากันร้องว่า "พวกเราได้กลืนเมืองนี้แล้ว วันนี้แหละคือวันที่พวกเราได้จ้องมองหา พวกเราได้พบแล้ว พวกเราเห็นแล้ว"
2:16 All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.
2:17 พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงกระทำตามพระประสงค์แล้ว ได้ทรงกระทำให้พระดำรัสของพระองค์สำเร็จ ตามที่พระองค์ได้บัญชาไว้นานแล้ว พระองค์ก็ได้ทรงทำลายอย่างไม่มีพระเมตตา พระองค์ทรงกระทำให้ศัตรูเปรมปรีดิ์เย้ยเจ้า พระองค์ได้ทรงชูเขาของพวกศัตรูของเจ้าขึ้น
2:17 The LORD hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.
2:18 จิตใจของเขาทั้งหลายร้องทูลองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า โอ กำแพงของธิดาแห่งศิโยนเอ๋ย จงให้น้ำตาไหลลงดุจสายน้ำทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืน อย่าให้เจ้าได้หยุดพัก อย่าให้แก้วตาของเจ้าหยุดหย่อนเลย
2:18 Their heart cried unto the LORD, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease.
2:19 จงลุกขึ้นร้องไห้ในกลางคืน ในต้นยามจงระบายความในใจของเจ้าออกอย่างน้ำตรงพระพักตร์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า จงชูมือทั้งสองของเจ้าขึ้นตรงไปยังพระองค์เพื่อขอชีวิตของบรรดาลูกเล็กเด็กแดงของเจ้า ที่หิวจนเป็นลมสลบไป ตามหัวถนนหนทางทุกแห่ง
2:19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
2:20 โอ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทอดพระเนตรและพิจารณาเถิดว่า พระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำการเช่นนี้แก่ผู้ใด ควรที่พวกผู้หญิงจะกินลูกของตนหรือ จะกินทารกที่ยังอุ้มอยู่หรือ พวกปุโรหิตและพวกผู้พยากรณ์ควรจะถูกประหารในสถานบริสุทธิ์ขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าหรือ
2:20 Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?
2:21 คนหนุ่มและคนแก่นอนเหยียดอยู่ตามพื้นดินในถนน สาวพรหมจารีและชายหนุ่มของข้าพระองค์ถูกคมดาบหวดล้มลงแล้ว พระองค์ได้ทรงประหารเขาในวันเมื่อพระองค์ทรงกริ้ว ได้ทรงสังหารเขาเสียโดยปราศจากพระกรุณา
2:21 The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast slain them in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed, and not pitied.
2:22 พระองค์ได้ทรงเรียกผู้ที่ข้าพระองค์กลัวรอบทุกด้านมาอย่างในวันเทศกาล พอถึงวันที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงพระพิโรธก็ไม่มีสักคนหนึ่งหนีเอาตัวรอดได้ หรือคงเหลือตกค้างรอดตายอยู่ ผู้ที่ข้าพระองค์ได้อุ้มชูและเลี้ยงดูมานั้น ศัตรูของข้าพระองค์ได้เผาผลาญเสียหมดแล้ว
2:22 Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD's anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.
