9:1 ข้าพเจ้าไม่จำเป็นต้องเขียนถึงท่านในเรื่องการสงเคราะห์วิสุทธิชน
9:1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
9:2 เพราะข้าพเจ้ารู้ว่าใจของท่านพร้อมอยู่แล้ว ข้าพเจ้าจึงพูดอวดเรื่องพวกท่านกับพวกมาซิโดเนียว่า พวกอาคายาได้จัดเตรียมไว้พร้อมแล้วตั้งแต่ปีกลาย และความกระตือรือร้นของพวกท่านก็เร้าใจคนเป็นอันมาก
9:2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
9:3 แต่ข้าพเจ้าได้ให้พี่น้องเหล่านั้นไป เพื่อมิให้การอวดของเราเรื่องท่านในข้อนั้นเป็นการเปล่าประโยชน์ และเพื่อให้ท่านจัดเตรียมไว้ให้พร้อมตามที่ข้าพเจ้าได้กล่าวแล้วนั้น
9:3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
9:4 มิฉะนั้นแล้ว ถ้าชาวมาซิโดเนียบางคนมากับข้าพเจ้า และเห็นว่าท่านมิได้เตรียมพร้อมตามที่เราได้อวดไว้นั้น (อย่าว่าแต่ท่านจะขายหน้าเลย) เราเองก็จะขายหน้าด้วย
9:4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
9:5 เหตุฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงเห็นว่า สมควรจะวิงวอนให้พี่น้องเหล่านั้นไปหาท่านก่อนข้าพเจ้า และให้จัดเตรียมของถวายของท่านไว้ ตามที่ท่านได้สัญญาไว้แล้ว เพื่อของถวายนั้นจะมีอยู่พร้อม และจะเป็นของถวายที่ให้ด้วยใจศรัทธา มิใช่ให้ด้วยการฝืนใจ
9:5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
9:6 นี่แหละ คนที่หว่านเพียงเล็กน้อยก็จะเกี่ยวเก็บได้เพียงเล็กน้อย คนที่หว่านมากก็จะเกี่ยวเก็บได้มาก
9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
9:7 ทุกคนจงให้ตามที่เขาได้คิดหมายไว้ในใจ มิใช่ให้ด้วยนึกเสียดาย มิใช่ให้ด้วยการฝืนใจ เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงรักคนนั้นที่ให้ด้วยใจยินดี
9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
9:8 และพระเจ้าทรงฤทธิ์สามารถประทานพระคุณอันอุดมทุกอย่างแก่ท่านทั้งหลาย เพื่อให้ท่านมีทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างเพียงพอสำหรับตัวเสมอ ทั้งจะมีสิ่งของบริบูรณ์สำหรับงานที่ดีทุกอย่างด้วย
9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9:9 (ตามที่เขียนไว้ว่า `เขาแจกจ่าย เขาได้ให้แก่คนยากจน ความชอบธรรมของเขาดำรงเป็นนิตย์'
9:9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
9:10 ฝ่ายพระองค์ผู้ประทานพืชแก่คนที่หว่าน และประทานอาหารแก่คนที่กิน จะทรงโปรดให้พืชของท่านที่หว่านนั้นทวีขึ้นเป็นอันมาก และจะทรงให้ผลแห่งความชอบธรรมของท่านเจริญยิ่งขึ้น)
9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
9:11 โดยทรงให้ท่านทั้งหลายมีสิ่งสารพัดมั่งคั่งบริบูรณ์ขึ้น เพื่อให้ท่านมีแจกจ่ายอย่างใจกว้างขวาง ซึ่งจะให้เกิดการขอบพระคุณพระเจ้า
9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
9:12 เพราะว่าการรับใช้ในการปรนนิบัตินั้นมิใช่จะช่วยวิสุทธิชนซึ่งขัดสนเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นเหตุให้มีการขอบพระคุณพระเจ้าเป็นอันมากด้วย
9:12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
9:13 และเนื่องจากผลแห่งการรับใช้นั้น เขาจึงถวายเกียรติยศแด่พระเจ้า โดยเหตุที่ท่านทั้งหลายยอมฟังและตั้งใจอยู่ในอำนาจข่าวประเสริฐของพระคริสต์ และเพราะเหตุท่านได้แจกจ่ายแก่เขาและแก่คนทั้งปวงด้วยใจกว้างขวาง
9:13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
9:14 เขาก็จะวิงวอนขอพระพรให้แก่ท่านทั้งหลายและปรารถนาท่านเป็นอันมาก เพราะเหตุพระคุณของพระเจ้าซึ่งสถิตอยู่ในท่านอย่างเหลือล้น
9:14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
9:15 จงขอบพระคุณพระเจ้าเพราะของประทานซึ่งพระองค์ทรงประทานนั้นที่เหลือจะพรรณนาได้
9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
