8:1 ในปีที่สามแห่งรัชกาลกษัตริย์เบลชัสซาร์ มีนิมิตปรากฏแก่ข้าพเจ้าดาเนียล หลังจากนิมิตที่ปรากฏแก่ข้าพเจ้าครั้งแรกนั้น
8:1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.
8:2 และข้าพเจ้าเห็นเป็นนิมิต ต่อมาขณะที่ข้าพเจ้าอยู่ที่สุสาปราสาท ซึ่งอยู่ในแขวงเมืองเอลาม และข้าพเจ้าก็เห็นเป็นนิมิต และข้าพเจ้าอยู่ริมแม่น้ำอุลัย
8:2 And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
8:3 ข้าพเจ้าเงยหน้าขึ้นเห็น และดูเถิด แกะผู้ตัวหนึ่งยืนอยู่ที่ฝั่งแม่น้ำ มีเขาสองเขา เขาทั้งสองสูง แต่เขาหนึ่งสูงกว่าอีกเขาหนึ่ง และเขาที่สูงนั้นงอกมาทีหลัง
8:3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
8:4 ข้าพเจ้าเห็นแกะผู้นั้นขวิดไปทางตะวันตก และทางเหนือและทางใต้ ไม่มีสัตว์ตัวใดต้านทานมันได้ และไม่มีใครที่จะช่วยให้พ้นจากมือของมันได้ มันทำตามชอบใจของมันและก็พองตัวขึ้น
8:4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
8:5 เมื่อข้าพเจ้ากำลังตรึกตรองอยู่ ดูเถิด มีแพะผู้ตัวหนึ่งมาจากทิศตะวันตก เหาะข้ามพื้นพิภพทั้งสิ้นมา ไม่แตะต้องพื้นดินเลย และแพะนั้นมีเขาเด่นอยู่ในระหว่างตาของมันเขาหนึ่ง
8:5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
8:6 มันมาหาแกะผู้ที่มีเขาสองเขาซึ่งข้าพเจ้าเห็นยืนอยู่ที่ฝั่งแม่น้ำ มันวิ่งเข้าใส่แกะผู้ตัวนั้นด้วยเต็มกำลังความโกรธของมัน
8:6 And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.
8:7 ข้าพเจ้าเห็นมันเข้ามาใกล้แกะผู้ มันโกรธและเข้าชนแกะผู้ ทำให้เขาทั้งสองของมันหักไป และแกะผู้ก็ไม่มีกำลังต้านทานมันได้ มันเหวี่ยงแกะผู้ลงที่ดินและเหยียบเสีย และไม่มีใครช่วยแกะผู้ให้พ้นมือของมันได้
8:7 And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
8:8 แล้วแพะผู้ก็พองตัวขึ้นอย่างยิ่ง แต่เมื่อมันแข็งแรง เขาใหญ่ของมันก็หัก มีเขาเด่นอีกสี่เขางอกขึ้นแทนที่ หันไปทางทิศลมทั้งสี่ของฟ้าสวรรค์
8:8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
8:9 และมีเขาเล็กๆเขาหนึ่งงอกออกมาจากเขาหนึ่งในพวกเขาเหล่านี้ ซึ่งงอกขึ้นใหญ่โตเหลือเกิน ตรงไปทางใต้ ตรงไปทางตะวันออก และตรงไปยังแผ่นดินอันรุ่งโรจน์นั้น
8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
8:10 มันงอกขึ้นใหญ่โต แม้กระทั่งถึงบริวารแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์ มันยังเหวี่ยงบริวารกับดวงดาวลงมายังพิภพเสียบ้าง แล้วเหยียบย่ำเสีย
8:10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
8:11 มันพองตัวขึ้นอีก แม้กระทั่งถึงจอมของบริวาร และเครื่องเผาบูชาประจำวันก็ถูกชิงไปเสีย และสถานบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ก็ถูกเหวี่ยงลง
8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.
8:12 และเพราะเหตุการละเมิด เขาได้รับมอบบริวารไว้สู้กับการเผาบูชาประจำวัน และความจริงก็ถูกเหวี่ยงลงที่ดิน และเขานั้นก็ปฏิบัติงานและเจริญขึ้น
8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
8:13 แล้วข้าพเจ้าได้ยินวิสุทธิชนผู้หนึ่งพูดอยู่ วิสุทธิชนอีกผู้หนึ่งก็พูดกับวิสุทธิชนผู้ที่พูดอยู่นั้นว่า "นิมิตที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเครื่องเผาบูชาประจำวันนั้นจะอยู่อีกนานเท่าใด ทั้งเรื่องการละเมิดที่ทำให้เกิดการรกร้างว่างเปล่า เพื่อจะมอบทั้งสถานบริสุทธิ์และบริวารให้ถูกเหยียบย่ำลงใต้ฝ่าเท้า"
8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
8:14 ท่านผู้นั้นตอบข้าพเจ้าว่า "อยู่นานสองพันสามร้อยวัน แล้วสถานบริสุทธิ์นั้นจะได้รับการชำระ"
8:14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
8:15 และอยู่มาเมื่อข้าพเจ้าดาเนียลได้เห็นนิมิตนั้นแล้ว ข้าพเจ้าก็พยายามเข้าใจ และดูเถิด มีเหมือนมนุษย์ยืนอยู่หน้าข้าพเจ้า
8:15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
8:16 และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินเสียงของชายผู้หนึ่งระหว่างฝั่งแม่น้ำอุลัย และเสียงนั้นร้องเรียกและกล่าวว่า "กาเบรียลเอ๋ย จงทำให้ชายผู้นี้เข้าใจในนิมิตนั้นเถิด"
8:16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
8:17 ดังนั้นท่านจึงมาใกล้ที่ที่ข้าพเจ้ายืนอยู่ และเมื่อท่านมาแล้ว ข้าพเจ้าก็ตกใจซบหน้าลงถึงดิน แต่ท่านกล่าวแก่ข้าพเจ้าว่า "โอ บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย จงเข้าใจเถิดว่า นิมิตนั้นเป็นเรื่องของกาลอวสาน"
8:17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
8:18 เมื่อท่านกำลังพูดอยู่กับข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าก็สลบหน้าติดดินอยู่ แต่ท่านแตะต้องข้าพเจ้าให้ข้าพเจ้ายืนขึ้น
8:18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
8:19 ท่านกล่าวว่า "ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าจะทำให้ท่านทราบถึงสิ่งซึ่งจะเกิดขึ้นในตอนปลายแห่งพระพิโรธ เพราะมันเกี่ยวข้องกับวาระกำหนดแห่งอวสาน
8:19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
8:20 เรื่องแกะผู้มีสองเขาที่ท่านเห็นนั้นคือ กษัตริย์ของคนมีเดียและคนเปอร์เซีย
8:20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
8:21 และแพะผู้คือกษัตริย์ของกรีก และเขาใหญ่ระหว่างนัยน์ตา คือกษัตริย์องค์แรก
8:21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
8:22 ส่วนเขาที่หัก และมีอีกสี่เขางอกขึ้นแทนนั้น คืออาณาจักรสี่อาณาจักรจะเกิดขึ้นจากประชาชาตินั้น แต่ไม่มีอำนาจเหนือเขาแรกนั้น
8:22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
8:23 และในตอนปลายแห่งรัชสมัยของพวกเขา เมื่อผู้ละเมิดทั้งหลายได้กระทำเต็มขนาดแล้ว จะมีกษัตริย์องค์หนึ่งพระพักตร์ดุร้าย และมีความเข้าใจในเรื่องปริศนาเกิดขึ้น
8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
8:24 อำนาจของท่านจะใหญ่โตมาก แต่มิใช่โดยอำนาจของท่านเอง และท่านจะกระทำให้บังเกิดความพินาศอย่างน่ากลัว ท่านก็เจริญขึ้นและปฏิบัติงาน ท่านจะทำลายคนที่มีกำลังมากและประชาชนบริสุทธิ์
8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
8:25 ด้วยความฉลาดของท่าน ท่านจะกระทำให้การล่อลวงแพร่หลายขึ้นด้วยน้ำมือของท่าน ท่านจะพองตัวของท่านในใจของท่านเอง ท่านจะทำลายคนมากหลายโดยความสงบ แล้วจะลุกขึ้นต่อสู้กับจอมเจ้านาย แต่ท่านจะต้องถูกหักทำลาย ไม่ใช่ด้วยมือเลย
8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
8:26 นิมิตเรื่องเวลาเย็นและเวลาเช้าซึ่งบอกเล่านั้นเป็นความจริง แต่จงปิดบังนิมิตนั้นไว้เถอะ เพราะเป็นเรื่องของอีกหลายวันข้างหน้า"
8:26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
8:27 และข้าพเจ้าดาเนียลก็อ่อนเพลีย และนอนเจ็บอยู่หลายวัน แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็ลุกขึ้นไปปฏิบัติราชการของกษัตริย์ต่อไป แต่ข้าพเจ้าก็งงงันโดยนิมิตนั้น และไม่เข้าใจเรื่องราวเลย
8:27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
