3:1 โอ ชาวกาลาเทียคนเขลา ใครสะกดดวงจิตของท่านเพื่อท่านจะไม่เชื่อฟังความจริง ทั้งๆที่ภาพการถูกตรึงของพระเยซูคริสต์ปรากฏอยู่ต่อหน้าต่อตาท่านแล้ว
3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
3:2 ข้าพเจ้าใคร่รู้ข้อเดียวจากท่านว่า ท่านได้รับพระวิญญาณโดยการกระทำตามพระราชบัญญัติหรือ หรือได้รับโดยการฟังด้วยความเชื่อ
3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3:3 ท่านเขลาถึงเพียงนั้นทีเดียวหรือ เมื่อท่านเริ่มต้นด้วยพระวิญญาณแล้ว บัดนี้ท่านจะให้สำเร็จด้วยเนื้อหนังหรือ
3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
3:4 ท่านได้ทนทุกข์มากมายโดยไร้ประโยชน์หรือ ถ้าเป็นการไร้ประโยชน์จริงๆแล้ว
3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
3:5 เหตุฉะนั้นพระองค์ผู้ทรงประทานพระวิญญาณแก่ท่าน และทรงกระทำการอัศจรรย์ท่ามกลางพวกท่าน ทรงกระทำการเช่นนั้นโดยการกระทำตามพระราชบัญญัติหรือ หรือโดยการฟังด้วยความเชื่อ
3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3:6 ดังที่อับราฮัม `ได้เชื่อพระเจ้า' และ `และพระองค์ทรงนับว่าเป็นความชอบธรรมแก่ท่าน'
3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
3:7 เหตุฉะนั้นท่านจงรู้เถิดว่า คนที่เชื่อนั่นแหละก็เป็นบุตรของอับราฮัม
3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
3:8 และพระคัมภีร์นั้นรู้ล่วงหน้าว่า พระเจ้าจะทรงให้คนต่างชาติเป็นคนชอบธรรมโดยความเชื่อ จึงได้ประกาศข่าวประเสริฐแก่อับราฮัมล่วงหน้าว่า `ชนชาติทั้งหลายจะได้รับพระพรเพราะเจ้า'
3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
3:9 เหตุฉะนั้นคนที่เชื่อจึงได้รับพระพรร่วมกับอับราฮัมผู้ซึ่งเชื่อ
3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
3:10 เพราะว่าคนทั้งหลายซึ่งพึ่งการกระทำตามพระราชบัญญัติก็ถูกสาปแช่ง เพราะมีคำเขียนไว้ว่า `ทุกคนที่มิได้ประพฤติตามทุกข้อความที่เขียนไว้ในหนังสือพระราชบัญญัติก็ถูกสาปแช่ง'
3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
3:11 แต่เป็นที่ประจักษ์ชัดอยู่แล้วว่า ไม่มีมนุษย์คนใดเป็นผู้ชอบธรรมในสายพระเนตรของพระเจ้าด้วยพระราชบัญญัติได้เลย เพราะว่า `คนชอบธรรมจะมีชีวิตดำรงอยู่โดยความเชื่อ'
3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
3:12 แต่พระราชบัญญัติไม่ได้อาศัยความเชื่อ เพราะ `ผู้ที่ประพฤติตามพระราชบัญญัติ ก็จะได้ชีวิตดำรงอยู่โดยพระราชบัญญัตินั้น'
3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
3:13 พระคริสต์ทรงไถ่เราให้พ้นความสาปแช่งแห่งพระราชบัญญัติ โดยการที่พระองค์ทรงยอมถูกสาปแช่งเพื่อเรา เพราะมีคำเขียนไว้ว่า `ทุกคนที่ต้องถูกแขวนไว้บนต้นไม้ก็ต้องถูกสาปแช่ง'
3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
3:14 เพื่อพระพรของอับราฮัมจะได้มาถึงคนต่างชาติทั้งหลายเพราะพระเยซูคริสต์ เพื่อเราจะได้รับพระสัญญาแห่งพระวิญญาณโดยความเชื่อ
3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
3:15 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าขอพูดตามอย่างมนุษย์ ถึงแม้เป็นคำสัญญาของมนุษย์ เมื่อได้รับรองกันแล้วไม่มีผู้ใดจะล้มเลิกหรือเพิ่มเติมขึ้นอีกได้
3:15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
3:16 แล้วบรรดาพระสัญญาที่ได้ประทานไว้แก่อับราฮัมและเชื้อสายของท่านนั้น พระองค์มิได้ตรัสว่า `และแก่เชื้อสายทั้งหลาย' เหมือนอย่างกับว่าแก่คนมากคน แต่เหมือนกับว่าแก่คนผู้เดียว `และแก่เชื้อสายของท่าน' ซึ่งเป็นพระคริสต์
3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
3:17 แต่ข้าพเจ้าว่าอย่างนี้ว่า พระราชบัญญัติซึ่งมาภายหลังถึงสี่ร้อยสามสิบปี จะทำลายพันธสัญญาซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงตั้งไว้ในพระคริสต์เมื่อก่อนนั้น ให้พระสัญญานั้นขาดจากประโยชน์ไม่ได้
3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
3:18 เพราะว่าถ้าได้รับมรดกโดยพระราชบัญญัติ ก็ไม่ใช่ได้โดยพระสัญญาอีกต่อไป แต่พระเจ้าทรงโปรดประทานมรดกนั้นให้แก่อับราฮัมโดยพระสัญญา
3:18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
3:19 ถ้าเช่นนั้นมีพระราชบัญญัติไว้ทำไม ที่เพิ่มพระราชบัญญัติไว้ก็เพราะเหตุจากการละเมิด จนกว่าเชื้อสายที่ได้รับพระสัญญานั้นจะมาถึง และพวกทูตสวรรค์ได้ตั้งพระราชบัญญัตินั้นไว้โดยมือของคนกลาง
3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
3:20 เพราะฉะนั้นคนที่เป็นคนกลางก็ไม่ได้เป็นคนกลางของฝ่ายเดียว แต่พระเจ้านั้นทรงเป็นเอกพระเจ้า
3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
3:21 ถ้าเช่นนั้นพระราชบัญญัติขัดแย้งกับพระสัญญาของพระเจ้าหรือ พระเจ้าไม่ยอมให้เป็นเช่นนั้นเลย เพราะว่าถ้าทรงตั้งพระราชบัญญัติอันสามารถทำให้คนมีชีวิตอยู่ได้ ความชอบธรรมก็จะมีได้โดยพระราชบัญญัตินั้นจริง
3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
3:22 แต่พระคัมภีร์ได้บ่งว่า ทุกคนอยู่ในความบาป เพื่อจะประทานตามพระสัญญาแก่คนทั้งปวงที่เชื่อ โดยอาศัยความเชื่อในพระเยซูคริสต์เป็นหลัก
3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
3:23 แต่ก่อนที่ความเชื่อมานั้น เราถูกพระราชบัญญัติกักตัวไว้ ถูกกั้นเขตไว้จนความเชื่อจะปรากฏภายหลัง
3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
3:24 เพราะฉะนั้น พระราชบัญญัติจึงเป็นครูของเราซึ่งนำเรามาถึงพระคริสต์ เพื่อเราจะได้เป็นคนชอบธรรมโดยความเชื่อ
3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
3:25 แต่หลังจากความเชื่อนั้นได้มาแล้ว เราจึงมิได้อยู่ใต้บังคับครูนั้นอีกต่อไปแล้ว
3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
3:26 เพราะว่าท่านทั้งหลายเป็นบุตรของพระเจ้าโดยความเชื่อในพระเยซูคริสต์
3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
3:27 เพราะเหตุว่า ทุกคนในพวกท่านที่รับบัพติศมาเข้าร่วมในพระคริสต์แล้ว ก็ได้สวมชีวิตพระคริสต์
3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
3:28 จะไม่เป็นยิวหรือกรีก จะไม่เป็นทาสหรือไทย จะไม่เป็นชายหรือหญิง เพราะว่าท่านทั้งหลายเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกันในพระเยซูคริสต์
3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
3:29 และถ้าท่านเป็นของพระคริสต์แล้ว ท่านก็เป็นเชื้อสายของอับราฮัม คือเป็นผู้รับมรดกตามพระสัญญา
3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
