19:1 ต่อมาเมื่อพระเยซูตรัสถ้อยคำเหล่านี้เสร็จแล้ว พระองค์ได้เสด็จจากแคว้นกาลิลี เข้าไปในเขตแดนแคว้นยูเดียฟากแม่น้ำจอร์แดนข้างโน้น
19:1 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
19:2 ฝูงชนเป็นอันมากได้ตามพระองค์ไป แล้วพระองค์ทรงรักษาโรคของเขาให้หายที่นั่น
19:2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
19:3 พวกฟาริสีมาทดลองพระองค์ทูลถามว่า "ผู้ชายจะหย่าภรรยาของตนเพราะเหตุใดๆก็ตาม เป็นการถูกต้องตามพระราชบัญญัติหรือไม่"
19:3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
19:4 พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "พวกท่านไม่ได้อ่านหรือว่า พระผู้ทรงสร้างมนุษย์แต่เดิม `ได้ทรงสร้างพวกเขาให้เป็นชายและหญิง'
19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
19:5 และตรัสว่า `เพราะเหตุนี้ผู้ชายจะจากบิดามารดาของเขา จะไปผูกพันอยู่กับภรรยา และเขาทั้งสองจะเป็นเนื้ออันเดียวกัน'
19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
19:6 เขาจึงไม่เป็นสองต่อไป แต่เป็นเนื้ออันเดียวกัน เหตุฉะนั้นซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงผูกพันกันแล้ว อย่าให้มนุษย์ทำให้พรากจากกันเลย"
19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
19:7 เขาจึงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "ถ้าอย่างนั้นทำไมโมเสสได้สั่งให้ทำหนังสือหย่าให้ภรรยา แล้วก็หย่าได้"
19:7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
19:8 พระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "โมเสสได้ยอมให้ท่านทั้งหลายหย่าภรรยาของตน เพราะใจท่านทั้งหลายแข็งกระด้าง แต่เมื่อเดิมมิได้เป็นอย่างนั้น
19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
19:9 ฝ่ายเราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า ผู้ใดหย่าภรรยาของตนเพราะเหตุต่างๆ เว้นแต่เป็นชู้กับชายอื่นแล้วไปมีภรรยาใหม่ก็ผิดประเวณี และผู้ใดรับหญิงที่หย่าแล้วนั้นมาเป็นภรรยาก็ผิดประเวณีด้วย"
19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
19:10 พวกสาวกของพระองค์ทูลพระองค์ว่า "ถ้ากรณีของฝ่ายชายต้องเป็นเช่นนั้นกับภรรยาของเขา การสมรสก็ไม่ดีเลย"
19:10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
19:11 พระองค์ทรงตอบเขาว่า "มิใช่ทุกคนจะรับประพฤติตามข้อนี้ได้ เว้นแต่ผู้ที่ทรงให้ประพฤติได้
19:11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
19:12 ด้วยว่าผู้ที่เป็นขันทีตั้งแต่กำเนิดจากครรภ์มารดาก็มี ผู้ที่มนุษย์กระทำให้เป็นขันทีก็มี ผู้ที่กระทำตัวเองให้เป็นขันทีเพราะเห็นแก่อาณาจักรแห่งสวรรค์ก็มี ใครถือได้ก็ให้ถือเอาเถิด"
19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
19:13 ขณะนั้นเขาพาเด็กเล็กๆมาหาพระองค์ เพื่อจะให้พระองค์ทรงวางพระหัตถ์และอธิษฐาน แต่เหล่าสาวกก็ห้ามปรามไว้
19:13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
19:14 ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสว่า "จงยอมให้เด็กเล็กๆเข้ามาหาเรา อย่าห้ามเขาเลย เพราะว่าอาณาจักรแห่งสวรรค์ย่อมเป็นของคนเช่นเด็กเหล่านั้น"
19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
19:15 เมื่อพระองค์ทรงวางพระหัตถ์บนเด็กเหล่านั้นแล้ว ก็เสด็จไปจากที่นั่น
19:15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
19:16 ดูเถิด มีคนหนึ่งมาทูลพระองค์ว่า "ท่านอาจารย์ผู้ประเสริฐ ข้าพเจ้าจะต้องทำดีประการใดจึงจะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์"
19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
19:17 พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ท่านเรียกเราว่าประเสริฐทำไมเล่า ไม่มีผู้ใดประเสริฐนอกจากพระองค์เดียวคือพระเจ้า แต่ถ้าท่านปรารถนาจะเข้าในชีวิต ก็ให้ถือรักษาพระบัญญัติไว้"
19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
19:18 คนนั้นทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "คือพระบัญญัติข้อใดบ้าง" พระเยซูตรัสว่า "อย่ากระทำการฆาตกรรม อย่าล่วงประเวณีผัวเมียเขา อย่าลักทรัพย์ อย่าเป็นพยานเท็จ
19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19:19 จงให้เกียรติแก่บิดามารดาของตน และจงรักเพื่อนบ้านเหมือนรักตนเอง"
19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
19:20 คนหนุ่มนั้นทูลพระองค์ว่า "ข้อเหล่านี้ข้าพเจ้าได้ถือรักษาไว้ทุกประการตั้งแต่เป็นเด็กหนุ่มมา ข้าพเจ้ายังขาดอะไรอีกบ้าง"
19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
19:21 พระเยซูตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ถ้าท่านปรารถนาเป็นผู้ที่ทำจนครบถ้วน จงไปขายบรรดาสิ่งของซึ่งท่านมีอยู่แจกจ่ายให้คนอนาถา แล้วท่านจะมีทรัพย์สมบัติในสวรรค์ แล้วจงตามเรามา"
19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
19:22 เมื่อคนหนุ่มได้ยินถ้อยคำนั้นเขาก็ออกไปเป็นทุกข์ เพราะเขามีทรัพย์สิ่งของเป็นอันมาก
19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
19:23 พระเยซูตรัสกับเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า คนมั่งมีจะเข้าในอาณาจักรแห่งสวรรค์ก็ยาก
19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
19:24 เราบอกท่านทั้งหลายอีกว่า ตัวอูฐจะลอดรูเข็มก็ง่ายกว่าคนมั่งมีจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า"
19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
19:25 เมื่อพวกสาวกของพระองค์ได้ยินก็ประหลาดใจมาก จึงทูลว่า "ถ้าอย่างนั้นใครจะรอดได้"
19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
19:26 พระเยซูทอดพระเนตรดูพวกสาวกและตรัสกับเขาว่า "ฝ่ายมนุษย์ย่อมเป็นไปไม่ได้ แต่พระเจ้าทรงกระทำให้เป็นไปได้ทุกสิ่ง"
19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
19:27 แล้วเปโตรทูลพระองค์ว่า "ดูเถิด ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้สละสิ่งสารพัด และได้ติดตามพระองค์มา พวกข้าพระองค์จึงจะได้อะไรบ้าง"
19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
19:28 พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า ในโลกใหม่คราวเมื่อบุตรมนุษย์จะนั่งบนพระที่นั่งแห่งสง่าราศีของพระองค์นั้น พวกท่านที่ได้ติดตามเรามาจะได้นั่งบนบัลลังก์สิบสองที่ พิพากษาชนอิสราเอลสิบสองตระกูล
19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
19:29 ทุกคนที่ได้สละบ้านหรือพี่น้องชายหญิงหรือบิดามารดาหรือภรรยาหรือบุตรหรือที่ดิน เพราะเห็นแก่นามของเรา ผู้นั้นจะได้ผลร้อยเท่า และจะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์เป็นมรดก
19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
19:30 แต่มีหลายคนที่เป็นคนต้นจะต้องกลับไปเป็นคนสุดท้าย และที่เป็นคนสุดท้ายจะกลับเป็นคนต้น"
19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
