25:1 "เมื่อถึงวันนั้น อาณาจักรแห่งสวรรค์จะเปรียบเหมือนหญิงพรหมจารีสิบคนถือตะเกียงของตนออกไปรับเจ้าบ่าว
25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
25:2 ในพวกเธอเป็นคนที่มีปัญญาห้าคน และเป็นคนโง่ห้าคน
25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
25:3 พวกที่โง่นั้นเอาตะเกียงของตนไป แต่หาได้เอาน้ำมันไปด้วยไม่
25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
25:4 แต่คนที่มีปัญญานั้นได้เอาน้ำมันใส่ภาชนะไปกับตะเกียงของตนด้วย
25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
25:5 เมื่อเจ้าบ่าวยังช้าอยู่ พวกเธอทุกคนก็พากันง่วงเหงาและหลับไป
25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
25:6 ครั้นเวลาเที่ยงคืนก็มีเสียงร้องมาว่า `ดูเถิด เจ้าบ่าวมาแล้ว จงออกมารับท่านเถิด'
25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
25:7 บรรดาหญิงพรหมจารีเหล่านั้นก็ลุกขึ้นตกแต่งตะเกียงของตน
25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
25:8 พวกที่โง่นั้นก็พูดกับพวกที่มีปัญญาว่า `ขอแบ่งน้ำมันของท่านให้เราบ้าง เพราะตะเกียงของเราดับอยู่'
25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
25:9 พวกที่มีปัญญาจึงตอบว่า `ทำอย่างนั้นไม่ได้ เกรงว่าน้ำมันจะไม่พอสำหรับเราและเจ้า จงไปหาคนขาย ซื้อสำหรับตัวเองจะดีกว่า'
25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
25:10 เมื่อพวกเธอกำลังไปซื้อนั้นเจ้าบ่าวก็มาถึง ผู้ที่พร้อมอยู่แล้วก็ได้เข้าไปกับท่านในพิธีสมรสนั้น แล้วประตูก็ปิด
25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
25:11 ภายหลังหญิงพรหมจารีอีกพวกหนึ่งก็มาร้องว่า `ท่านเจ้าข้าๆ ขอเปิดให้ข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายด้วย'
25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
25:12 ฝ่ายท่านตอบว่า `เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า เราไม่รู้จักท่าน'
25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
25:13 เหตุฉะนั้นจงเฝ้าระวังอยู่ เพราะท่านทั้งหลายไม่รู้กำหนดวันหรือโมงที่บุตรมนุษย์จะเสด็จมา
25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
25:14 อาณาจักรแห่งสวรรค์ยังเปรียบเหมือนชายผู้หนึ่งจะออกเดินทางไปยังเมืองไกล จึงเรียกพวกผู้รับใช้ของตนมา และฝากทรัพย์สมบัติของเขาไว้
25:14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
25:15 คนหนึ่งท่านให้ห้าตะลันต์ คนหนึ่งสองตะลันต์ และอีกคนหนึ่งตะลันต์เดียว ตามความสามารถของแต่ละคน แล้วท่านก็ออกเดินทางทันที
25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
25:16 คนที่ได้รับห้าตะลันต์นั้นก็เอาเงินนั้นไปค้าขาย ได้กำไรมาอีกห้าตะลันต์
25:16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
25:17 คนที่ได้รับสองตะลันต์นั้นก็ได้กำไรอีกสองตะลันต์เหมือนกัน
25:17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
25:18 แต่คนที่ได้รับตะลันต์เดียวได้ขุดหลุมซ่อนเงินของนายไว้
25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
25:19 ครั้นอยู่มาช้านาน นายจึงมาคิดบัญชีกับผู้รับใช้เหล่านั้น
25:19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
25:20 คนที่ได้รับห้าตะลันต์ก็เอาเงินกำไรอีกห้าตะลันต์มาชี้แจงว่า `นายเจ้าข้า ท่านได้มอบเงินห้าตะลันต์ไว้กับข้าพเจ้า ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าได้กำไรมาอีกห้าตะลันต์'
25:20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
25:21 นายจึงตอบเขาว่า `ดีแล้ว เจ้าเป็นผู้รับใช้ดีและสัตย์ซื่อ เจ้าสัตย์ซื่อในของเล็กน้อย เราจะตั้งเจ้าให้ดูแลของมาก เจ้าจงปรีดีร่วมสุขกับนายของเจ้าเถิด'
25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
25:22 คนที่ได้รับสองตะลันต์มาชี้แจงด้วยว่า `นายเจ้าข้า ท่านได้มอบเงินสองตะลันต์ไว้กับข้าพเจ้า ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าได้กำไรมาอีกสองตะลันต์'
25:22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
25:23 นายจึงตอบเขาว่า `ดีแล้ว เจ้าเป็นผู้รับใช้ดีและสัตย์ซื่อ เจ้าสัตย์ซื่อในของเล็กน้อย เราจะตั้งเจ้าให้ดูแลของมาก เจ้าจงปรีดีร่วมสุขกับนายของเจ้าเถิด'
25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
25:24 ฝ่ายคนที่ได้รับตะลันต์เดียวมาชี้แจงว่า `นายเจ้าข้า ข้าพเจ้ารู้จักท่านว่าท่านเป็นคนใจแข็ง เกี่ยวผลที่ท่านมิได้หว่าน เก็บส่ำสมที่ท่านมิได้โปรย
25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25:25 ข้าพเจ้ากลัวจึงเอาเงินตะลันต์ของท่านไปซ่อนไว้ใต้ดิน ดูเถิด นี่แหละเงินของท่าน'
25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
25:26 นายจึงตอบเขาว่า `เจ้าผู้รับใช้ชั่วช้าและเกียจคร้าน เจ้าก็รู้อยู่ว่าเราเกี่ยวที่เรามิได้หว่าน เก็บส่ำสมที่เรามิได้โปรย
25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
25:27 เหตุฉะนั้น เจ้าควรเอาเงินของเราไปฝากไว้ที่ธนาคาร เมื่อเรามาจะได้รับเงินของเราทั้งดอกเบี้ยด้วย
25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
25:28 เพราะฉะนั้น จงเอาเงินตะลันต์เดียวนั้นจากเขาไปให้คนที่มีสิบตะลันต์
25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
25:29 ด้วยว่าทุกคนที่มีอยู่แล้ว จะเพิ่มเติมให้แก่ผู้นั้นจนมีเหลือเฟือ แต่ผู้ที่ไม่มี แม้ว่าซึ่งเขามีอยู่ก็จะต้องเอาไปจากเขา
25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
25:30 จงเอาเจ้าผู้รับใช้ที่ไร้ประโยชน์นี้ไปทิ้งเสียที่มืดภายนอก ซึ่งที่นั่นจะมีการร้องไห้ขบเขี้ยวเคี้ยวฟัน'
25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
25:31 เมื่อบุตรมนุษย์จะเสด็จมาในสง่าราศีของพระองค์พร้อมกับเหล่าทูตสวรรค์อันบริสุทธิ์ทั้งปวง เมื่อนั้นพระองค์จะประทับบนพระที่นั่งอันรุ่งเรืองของพระองค์
25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
25:32 บรรดาประชาชาติต่างๆจะประชุมพร้อมกันต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์ และพระองค์จะทรงแยกมนุษย์ทั้งหลายโดยแยกพวกหนึ่งออกจากอีกพวกหนึ่ง เหมือนอย่างผู้เลี้ยงแกะแยกแกะออกจากแพะ
25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
25:33 และพระองค์จะทรงจัดฝูงแกะให้อยู่เบื้องขวาพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ แต่ฝูงแพะนั้นจะทรงจัดให้อยู่เบื้องซ้าย
25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
25:34 ขณะนั้น พระมหากษัตริย์จะตรัสแก่บรรดาผู้ที่อยู่เบื้องขวาพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ว่า `ท่านทั้งหลายที่ได้รับพระพรจากพระบิดาของเรา จงมารับเอาราชอาณาจักรซึ่งได้ตระเตรียมไว้สำหรับท่านทั้งหลายตั้งแต่แรกสร้างโลกเป็นมรดก
25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
25:35 เพราะว่าเมื่อเราหิว ท่านทั้งหลายก็ได้จัดหาให้เรากิน เรากระหายน้ำ ท่านก็ให้เราดื่ม เราเป็นแขกแปลกหน้า ท่านก็ได้ต้อนรับเราไว้
25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
25:36 เราเปลือยกาย ท่านก็ได้ให้เสื้อผ้าเรานุ่งห่ม เมื่อเราเจ็บป่วย ท่านก็ได้มาเยี่ยมเรา เมื่อเราต้องจำอยู่ในคุก ท่านก็ได้มาเยี่ยมเรา'
25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
25:37 เวลานั้นบรรดาผู้ชอบธรรมจะกราบทูลพระองค์ว่า `พระองค์เจ้าข้า ที่ข้าพระองค์เห็นพระองค์ทรงหิว และได้จัดมาถวายแด่พระองค์แต่เมื่อไร หรือทรงกระหายน้ำ และได้ถวายให้พระองค์ดื่มแต่เมื่อไร
25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
25:38 ที่ข้าพระองค์ได้เห็นพระองค์ทรงเป็นแขกแปลกหน้า และได้ต้อนรับพระองค์ไว้แต่เมื่อไร หรือเปลือยพระกาย และได้สวมฉลองพระองค์ให้แต่เมื่อไร
25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
25:39 ที่ข้าพระองค์เห็นพระองค์ประชวรหรือต้องจำอยู่ในคุก และได้มาเฝ้าพระองค์นั้นแต่เมื่อไร'
25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
25:40 แล้วพระมหากษัตริย์จะตรัสตอบเขาว่า `เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า ซึ่งท่านได้กระทำแก่คนใดคนหนึ่งในพวกพี่น้องของเรานี้ถึงแม้จะต่ำต้อยเพียงไร ก็เหมือนได้กระทำแก่เราด้วย'
25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
25:41 แล้วพระองค์จะตรัสกับบรรดาผู้ที่อยู่เบื้องซ้ายพระหัตถ์ด้วยว่า `ท่านทั้งหลาย ผู้ต้องสาปแช่ง จงถอยไปจากเราเข้าไปอยู่ในไฟซึ่งไหม้อยู่เป็นนิตย์ ซึ่งเตรียมไว้สำหรับพญามารและสมุนของมันนั้น
25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
25:42 เพราะว่าเมื่อเราหิว ท่านก็มิได้ให้เรากิน เรากระหายน้ำ ท่านก็มิได้ให้เราดื่ม
25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
25:43 เราเป็นแขกแปลกหน้า ท่านก็ไม่ได้ต้อนรับเราไว้ เราเปลือยกาย ท่านก็ไม่ได้ให้เสื้อผ้าเรานุ่งห่ม เราเจ็บป่วยและต้องจำอยู่ในคุก ท่านไม่ได้เยี่ยมเรา'
25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
25:44 เขาทั้งหลายจะทูลพระองค์ด้วยว่า `พระองค์เจ้าข้า ที่ข้าพระองค์ได้เห็นพระองค์ทรงหิวหรือทรงกระหายน้ำ หรือทรงเป็นแขกแปลกหน้าหรือเปลือยพระกาย หรือประชวร หรือต้องจำอยู่ในคุก และข้าพระองค์มิได้ปรนนิบัติพระองค์นั้นแต่เมื่อไร'
25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
25:45 เมื่อนั้นพระองค์จะตรัสตอบเขาว่า `เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า ซึ่งท่านมิได้กระทำแก่ผู้ต่ำต้อยที่สุดสักคนหนึ่งในพวกนี้ ก็เหมือนท่านมิได้กระทำแก่เรา'
25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
25:46 และพวกเหล่านี้จะต้องออกไปรับโทษอยู่เป็นนิตย์ แต่ผู้ชอบธรรมจะเข้าสู่ชีวิตนิรันดร์"
25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
