137:1 ณ ริมฝั่งแม่น้ำแห่งบาบิโลนเรานั่งลง เมื่อได้ระลึกถึงศิโยนเราก็ร่ำไห้
137:1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
137:2 ในท่ามกลางที่นั่นเราแขวนพิณเขาคู่ของเราไว้ที่ต้นหลิว
137:2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
137:3 เพราะที่นั่นผู้ที่นำเราไปเป็นเชลยต้องการให้เราร้องเพลง และผู้ที่ปล้นเราต้องการให้สนุกสนาน เขาว่า "จงร้องเพลงศิโยนสักบทหนึ่งให้เราฟัง"
137:3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
137:4 เราจะร้องเพลงของพระเยโฮวาห์ได้อย่างไร ที่ในแผ่นดินต่างด้าว
137:4 How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?
137:5 โอ เยรูซาเล็มเอ๋ย ถ้าข้าพเจ้าลืมเธอก็ขอให้มือขวาของข้าพเจ้าลืมฝีมือเสีย
137:5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
137:6 ขอให้ลิ้นของข้าพเจ้าเกาะติดเพดานปากของข้าพเจ้า ถ้าว่าข้าพเจ้าไม่ระลึกถึงเธอ ถ้าว่าข้าพเจ้ามิได้ตั้งเยรูซาเล็มไว้เหนือความชื่นบานอันสูงที่สุดของข้าพเจ้า
137:6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
137:7 โอ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ในวันแห่งเยรูซาเล็มขอทรงระลึกถึงคนเอโดม ผู้ที่พูดว่า "จงทลายเสีย จงทลายเสีย ลงไปจนถึงรากฐานของมัน"
137:7 Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
137:8 โอ ธิดาแห่งบาบิโลนเอ๋ย ซึ่งจะต้องล้างผลาญเสีย ความสุขจงมีแก่ผู้ที่สนองเจ้าให้สมกับที่เจ้าได้กระทำกับเรา
137:8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
137:9 ความสุขจงมีแก่ผู้ที่เอาลูกเล็กเด็กแดงของเจ้าเหวี่ยงกระแทกลงกับก้อนหิน
137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
